Introduction Venice Boat Tour

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate
As the only city in the world without land transportation, Venice's 177 canals and more than 400 bridges form a unique water maze, and cruise ship is the best key to unlock this water city.

Unique Landscape: Along the way, you can see the bell tower of St. Mark's Square, the magnificent facade of the Doge's Palace, the century-old commercial port style of the Rialto Bridge, as well as the colorful houses hidden deep in the alleys and balconies for drying clothes. Every frame is a postcard-level picture. Since there is no land transportation, you will have the opportunity to see residents rowing boats home, or occasionally encounter "garbage boats" for waste recycling. Every frame will bring you into the fireworks here and immerse you in the real life of the residents.

Mobile Architecture Museum: Starting from St. Mark's Square, it sails in an inverted S shape along the Grand Canal, with 12-18 The Gothic and Renaissance buildings of the 16th century, such as the Doge's Palace and the Golden Palace, are spread out one after another. The sun shines on the rose-colored marble walls, as if traveling through an art gallery in time and space. When the cruise ship passes the Rialto Bridge, you can look up at this 16th-century white marble arch bridge. The shops lined up on the bridge and the gondolas passing by are interwoven into a vivid medieval picture. Going deep into the small canal, the candy-colored houses of the colorful island Burano and the fireworks of the workshops of the glass island Murano are overwhelming, and every corner is a surprise.

Immersive cultural experience:Choose a traditional gondola. During the 25-50 minute voyage, the gondolier will row the narrow wooden boat designed in the 11th century, cross the Bridge of Sighs and tell the legend of the prisoners, or hum Italian folk songs to take you to explore the hidden water lanes. If you want to explore more deeply, you can take a water bus. The 30-45 minute classic route connects the Renaissance frescoes of the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore, the sunset viewing platform of the Academy Bridge, and even extends to the glass blowing workshop experience on the outer islands. The night cruise is more romantic, with bright lights reflected in the canal and sparkling waves where the boat passes, just like being in the drama scene of "The Merchant of Venice".

In Venice, every boat ride is a dialogue with history and an encounter with art. When gondolas pass through the reflections of bluestone slabs and when water buses pass through thousand-year-old arch bridges, this city floating on the blue waves is telling the legend of human civilization in its own unique way.

Venice

Since the fall of the Venetian republic in 1797, the city has held an unrivaled place in the Western imagination and has been endlessly described in prose and verse. The luminous spectacle of ornate marbled and frescoed palaces, bell towers, and domes reflected in the sparkling waters of the lagoon under a blue Adriatic sky has been painted, photographed, and filmed to such an extent that it is difficult to distinguish the real city from its romantic representations. The visitor arriving in Venice is still transported into another world, one whose atmosphere and beauty remain incomparable.

Basilica San Marco Venice

The Basilica San Marco, also known as St. Mark's Basilica, showcases a blend of architectural styles from the Byzantine to the Renaissance periods, combined with Eastern art. Its five domes resemble the domes of Islamic mosques. The church was built to house the relics of St. Mark, which were stolen by two Venetian merchants from Alexandria, Egypt, in 828 AD, to have their own patron saint. The façade features five entrance portals, each adorned with golden mosaics from Greece depicting religious stories. Above the central main door, there are four bronze horse statues, replicas of the originals created around the 3rd or 4th century, which were looted by the Venetians from the Hippodrome of Constantinople in 1204. These statues were later taken by Napoleon to adorn the Arc de Triomphe in Paris in 1797, before being returned in 1815. The original horses are now preserved in the church's museum.

Venice citybreak ❤️🗺️

#citydaytours Venice was a magical experience during my summer vacation! 🇮🇹 The city’s canals, historic architecture, and charming alleys make it a unique destination. We spent our days getting lost in the narrow streets, taking in the stunning views from the Rialto Bridge, and exploring St. Mark’s Basilica. The entrance to St. Mark’s Basilica was free, though the nearby Campanile cost around €8 for an elevator ride to the top for breathtaking views of the city. ⛲🗺️ One of the highlights was a gondola ride through the canals, which was around €80 for a 30-minute ride—a bit pricey but absolutely worth it for the experience. We also enjoyed wandering through the colorful neighborhoods of Burano and Murano, known for their lace and glass-making. 🎨 Venice’s romantic ambiance and rich history make it a destination I’ll never forget. #trip #localguides #Venice #Italy #CanalLife #TravelDreams

Vaporetto (Passenger Ferry) in Venice

Vaporetto (Passenger Ferry) in Venice

In Venice, the main public transport is Vaporetto (Passenger Ferry). There are ferries around the island and on the Canal Grande in Venice. The water taxis and gondolas are relatively much more expensive. I love taking Vaporetto, so relaxing to travel on water buses to see the beautiful small towns, to explore the little alleys of Venice, and budget friendly too. It will stop in Venice and the nearby islands such as Murano, Burano, and the Lido. Ambiance/Facilities: 10/10 Rating: 5/5

VENICE

This is my favorite place in the whole world. ❤️ I studied and lived here for 3 years. In these years I discovered and loved so many things about this magical island. I understand that sometimes it’s overwhelming and it seems very touristy, but as many other touristy places, Venice became popular in the first place exactly for its beauty. Every time I had the chance I love to stop by and every time it’s a magical experience. My MUST see/do : - Saint mark square and discover all its interesting legends and stories - Despar supermarket in Strada Nova (amazing affrescos) - Jewish Ghetto - Get lost in the calles Just few of the best places to have a spritz or drink: - Lo Squero - Il Mercante - All’ombra dell’orso - Da Lele - Al Remer - Al Timon there are so manyyyyy 🙈💕 and don’t miss the BIENNALE expositions of you love contemporary art and architecture

Italy Free Travel - Venice

Italy Free Travel - Venice

During our free travel in Italy on February 10th and 11th, we visited Venice, a water city located in the northeast of Italy. Comprising 118 islands, it has been rated by various magazines as one of the '50 must-visit destinations in a lifetime.' The city relies entirely on water transportation, with no vehicles. We bought a two-day water bus pass, which allowed unlimited rides. Using it was simple - just open Google Maps, set your destination, and it will tell you which pier, platform, and boat number to take. On the first day, we visited Murano, the glass island, and Burano, the colorful island. I preferred Burano with its brightly colored houses. There's a legend that fishermen's families painted their houses in vibrant colors so that their husbands could easily find their way home after fishing. On the second day, we took a boat to the San Marco area, admired the historical sites along the way, and then leisurely walked back to our hotel, enjoying a relaxed and pleasant day. For accommodation in Venice, it's recommended to book near the train station rather than further into the city. The roads are uneven, and there are many bridges, which can make carrying luggage quite frustrating.
