An art museum situated in Aarhus, was established in 1859, the oldest public art museum in Denmark outside Copenhagen. But what really interest people to come is the art ‘Your Rainbow Panorama’. Measuring 52m in diameter, this large glass walkway allows visitors to see the 360 degrees view of the city. It’s opened in 2011. This is what brings me to this city and I really love the art piece! I recently visited Lacabra in Manggok, and its small, 7-square-meter space exuded a distinctly Nordic ambiance. The coffee menu was diverse, and the staff were friendly and helpful, making it easy to choose. The Sonjit Coffee was particularly delicious, with a perfect balance of strength and acidity. The specialty Orange Americano was also excellent. The subtle aroma of coffee and the sweet and sour orange flavor complemented each other, stimulating the palate. However, the small space felt a bit cramped. Rather than sitting down to enjoy your coffee, I recommend getting it to-go and enjoying it while strolling around the area. I stopped in Aarhus, Denmark's second largest city, on my way home from Aalborg on a recent trip, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. The city truly earns its nickname — everywhere I turned, there was charm, character, and a little magic. Bicycles leant against the wall, it created some fantastic photography (Picture 1). 🏬 Onto Strøget, the buzzing pedestrian street where the friendliest locals and visitors blend effortlessly. ⛪ Along the way, I passed the Catholic Church of Our Lady, a peaceful, beautiful corner of the city that felt like a step back in time (Picture 2). 🌊 I also passed by the Aarhus Cathedral, an imposing and elegant piece of history right in the heart of the city and it's just close by the Aarhus Å (or Aarhus River, Picture 3). 🌜 But the real surprise came after sunset — I returned to the Catholic Church of Our Lady and was surprised too see it lit up brilliantly against the backdrop of the night sky. The contrast of light and shadow was absolutely breathtaking, a moment that made me stop and just take it all in (Picture 4). 🇩🇰 Aarhus might be called the City of Smiles, but it left me with wide eyes and a full heart. I've been before, so it was lovely to be back. This hidden gem is a must add for your next trip! This is Aarhus, a modern city in Denmark that is truly a beautiful place! The city isn’t massive, so you only need a few days (we visited this city for just 24 hours), but there are some great things to do! Our trip followed this plan - Arrive at 11am Visit the Aros Art Museum, and finishing in the rainbow roof art installation (such a cool idea!!!) Visit the Aarhus street market where we ate some international and local dishes Go to the Marselisborg deer park, where you can hand feed the deer! This is a very cute activity, and we got to see some beautiful baby deer! Just please remember to be respectful and careful. We headed out for dinner with some friends we made at the hostel (there are some amazing options)! Then, we decided to go out for the night, and finish at 3am with a big slice of pizza (shhh!!!) The morning we played mini golf at our hostel, got some bakery snacks, then flew back at 12pm! This city is great on a budget, and due to being smaller you can afford a shorter trip!
