The Yediler Monastery dates back to the Byzantine period (9th–13th centuries), when the Latmos Mountains became a refuge for monks and hermits seeking isolation. This was never a large monastery. Only a small community lived here. Their lives were simple and disciplined: prayer, contemplation, and manual work. Some tended small gardens or animals, others copied religious texts, while many lived alone in nearby caves and rock shelters. The faded Christian paintings on surrounding rocks are quiet traces of this life, marking places of prayer rather than decoration. Hidden deep in the stone landscape of the Latmos Mountains, Yediler Monastery is not an easy place to reach — and that is part of its power. Reaching it today still requires effort. We walked here in early October, and even then the heat was intense. The path was long, rocky, and exposed — at times more climbing than walking. There is no water along the way, so bringing more than you think you’ll need. We also visited in spring, when the landscape felt completely different. The mountains turned green and soft, filled with the aromas of wild Mediterranean herbs — thyme, sage, oregano, and touches of wild lavender. The journey became not only physical, but deeply sensory. 📍Travel tip: You can start the hike to Yediler Monastery from different villages. I visited in summer: the air was hot, the grass dry and golden, olive trees shimmering under the sun, and wide mountain landscapes stretching in every direction. #Overseas travel My visit to Magnesia in Maander was full of history and culture. This ancient city in Turkey is one of the most important archaeological sites. I enjoyed exploring the magnificent site, where I saw the remains of temples, theaters, and public squares dating back to the Hellenistic and Roman periods. The monumental architecture and ornate columns were a sign of past grandeur. There was an air of prestige that made me imagine the life that had filled this place for thousands of years.

First time at Turkey and sure not the last time. We selected Kusadasi for our vacation place and we were right in every sense. It's a wonderful place to be in.Kusadasi is a mix of traditional and modern Turkey. During summer there are hundreds of thousands people in the city, majority of them are tourists from all over the world, so you can also see a mix of different cultures. Residents of Kusadasi are very friendly and pleasant. One of interesting things in Kusadasi is shopping. You can find everything to buy from leather jackets to watches(original fakes) at very low prices. Another plus is Kusadasi's location around which is a lot of historic sights like Ephesus, Pammukale and many other world known sights. Best location for hotel is in the city center not on many beaches around the city. Go there you won't regret :)
