Going to Manjuyod from Dumaguete would tiik you an hour and a half. From Dumaguete's Ceres Bus Station, you can take buses with signboards of Bais, Manjuyod or Canlaon. But before going to Manjuyod sandbar and dolphin watching, you can reserve a tour before hand. My tourguide for Manjuyod sandar with dolphin watching is sir Cham Narciso (0-nine-26-three-six-1-four-23-zero). You can find him on facebook. Fare from Dumaguete to Bais is php60. You will alight at the Bais bus stop adjacent to Jollibee. From there you can charter a trike to your hostel or inn. Trike drivers can recommend you what is the best inn or hostel if you arrive at niggt fir tomorrows tour. Btw, be sure to check your calendar for low tides so that you can enjoy the sandbar. The sandbar is 15 mins. away from the port. The waters from the sandbar is clear and shallow. You can rent the stilt houses either for day use or overnight. There are a lot of water activities in the area and boatmen and women who sell their wares to tourists. I just wished that these activities be lessened to preserve the place because if not, a few years from now, this sandbar destination will go to waste. And I think that the LGU of Bais or its Tourism Office is not doing anything to preserve the place. They are just for the money they regularly collect from the tourists. They don't even clean the place. Maybe a few years ago, it may be called the Maldives of the Philippines, but not anymore, it just a plain sandbar destination and on its way to deterioration.
