A Five-Day Deep Tour of the Canadian Rockies - Banff National Park
As spring ends and summer begins, the Rockies are about to welcome their most glorious moments❤. The emerald lakes reflect the layers of distant mountains. In the early morning, you can wait for the 'golden sunrise' at Moraine Lake, where the sun's rays on the lake surface make it hard to tell if it's reality or a dream🙈.
Starting June 2nd, boat tours will be available on Lake Louise, where you can enjoy a gentle breeze on your face while boating in the heart of the lake🚣♂️. And there's the Tiffany blue💎 Lake Louise, sitting by the window of the Fairmont Hotel, it's simply wonderful. This hotel has been selected by Forbes as one of the 'Top Ten Hotels with the Most Beautiful Views in the World'.
Take the cable car to the top of Banff National Park and enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains, where the blue sky and white clouds seem within reach. Overlooking the entire Rocky Mountain range, surrounded by the sun and moon, as well as the mountains and rivers, this is probably the essence of traveling.
Starting in 2023, private cars are no longer allowed to enter Moraine Lake, so friends who want to drive themselves need to book a bus in advance. Or you can join our tour group, so you don't have to make the reservation yourself.

Quaint Mountain Retreat @ Banff ⛰️
Did you know, Banff is both a national park and a town? Visiting the town of Banff is a must-do when visiting the national park as it is a beautiful quaint little town, nestled in the middle of the great Canadian Rockies.
Surrounded by majestic mountains, the air crisp with the scent of pine, and every corner felt like a painting that came to life. Strolling through the charming streets, I was captivated by the quaint boutiques and cozy cafes, each offering a glimpse into the town's vibrant culture. The surrounding peaks provided a stunning backdrop, adding to the town's undeniable charm.
Wandering through Banff, I couldn't help but feel a sense of tranquility wash over me, as if time slowed down to match the pace of this idyllic haven. Be it sipping coffee in a local cafe or browsing through unique souvenirs, I cherised every moment in Banff.

To me, Hong Kong is a place that offers a unique mix of culture, outdoors, nightlife, food and history! I want to travel to Hong Kong to eat traditional dimsum at Lin Heung Tea House, go shopping at Causewaybay, perhaps take a day trip to the Greater Bay Area and...so much more!
5 Reasons why you should visit Banff!
(If you haven’t already)
1) The mountains! Obviously #1 for a reason, just driving from Calgary to Banff is beautiful enough let alone waking up to gorgeous mountain views, breathing in the fresh air on a mountain hike or sipping a cup of tea taking in their magnificence from the comfort of a coffee shop or your front porch!
2) How beautiful and cozy the accomodation is- think wood cabin vibes, thermal pools, a crackling fire in the evening and hot chocolates all round. We stayed at @thehiddenridgeresort for the second time and absolutely love it there!
3) The wildlife - there’s nothing better than being able to witness animals in their natural habit without disturbing them- we love all the variety of animals and felt so privileged to be able to witness them in their everyday life. Don’t ever forget that no matter how cute an animal is it is wise to keep your distance and admire them from afar!
4) Something in every season-
Banff has something different to offer every season that you visit, from the beautiful trees in fall, snow covered mountains in winter, water activities in summer and the fresh new start of spring 🌼
5) Relax in thermal hot springs and pools! There is nothing like a hot thermal bath after a long day of hiking to relax your muscles, even if you’ve just spent the day walking around town shopping!

One of the most beautiful and serene places is Banff Alberta. There are so many awesome spots to take photos, and it’s not difficult to get good shots either!
Here are three of my favorite lava toons to take photos in Banff:
1. The bluest water you will ever see is at Moraine Lake. The lake sits directly below an epic mountain range. The best time to go is early in the morning. There aren’t as many people in the mornings either. If you’re lucky enough to get cloud coverage, hike up above the downed log to get a spectacular view of the valley and lake.
2. Lake Louise is another amazingly blue lake that sits in the park. It is made up of direct glacier runoff. The best time to go for photos is sunset. If conditions are right, you may get an illuminated orange sky that makes perfect photos.
3. Lastly, one of my favorite places, is the town of Banff. It is a beautiful small mountain town, with spectacular views in every direction. The Prince of Wales Hotel sits on the South side of the town and it definitely a must see.
#awesomepic #banff #photographyguide #givethanks
The Tower of Babel scramble in Banff National Park is one of the most amazing adventures in the entire park. start at the base of Moraine Lake and climb the steep scree shoot until you pop out into the top.
Once you’re at the top you’ll have stunning views of Consolation Lakes on one side and Moraine Lake on the other. Few people ever make it this far!
The incredible East End of Rundle Hike in Canmore, otherwise known as EEOR, is one of the most popular hikes in the Banff area. You can summit in around 2-3 hours and the views of the Bow Valley are beyond comparison. But you really don’t have to make it all the way to the top to get the amazing views. Even hiking halfway is worth the effort!
#mountains #canmore #banff #canada #hike
The Eden Restaurant at the Rimrock Hotel in Banff is one of only 3 Five Diamond restaurants in Canada and offers an absolutely incredible, once in a lifetime dining experience.
From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like royalty, and aside from the delicious courses, you’re treated to unique breads and butters, amuse bouches, and even a “party favour” at the end.
But you really have to try the food. It’s undoubtedly the finest dining experience in a Banff.
#banff #restaurant #fivediamond #canada #alberta
The Mount Temple Scramble is one of Banff’s most popular and challenging hiking objectives. It’s one of the only 11,000ft mountains that you can safely scramble without any mountaineering equipment, and if you make it to the top you’ll have stunning top down views of Moraine Lake.
The hike starts from Moraine Lake and passes through Larch Valley and Sentinel Pass on the way to the summit.
#mountains #hiking #canada #banff
The Mt. Norquay Via Ferrata is a relatively new attraction in Banff. It’s an amazing way to experience mountaineering without in a safe way, with zero skills! It’s an exciting way to summit a mountain and it’s easily one of Banff’s best attractions.
There are different routes that cross bridges, planks and high wires, and at the end of the day there’s an amazing charcuterie board waiting for you!
#banff #norquay #canada #travel
Banff was amazing. It can be compared to the beauty of Swiss. I had amazing time.

Chasing the Northern Lights in Banff: A Winter Wonderland
#auroralight
Banff, located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, is one of the most magical places to experience the northern lights. While the town is renowned for its stunning mountain landscapes and crystal-clear lakes, it also offers the rare opportunity to witness the spectacular aurora borealis, especially during the cold, crisp nights of winter.
The best time to catch the aurora in Banff is typically between September and April, when geomagnetic activity peaks. The dark, clear skies above the mountains provide the perfect canvas for the vibrant green, pink, and purple hues of the aurora to paint across the night sky. For the most breathtaking views, venture just outside Banff town to places like Lake Minnewanka or Vermilion Lakes, where the remote surroundings offer minimal light pollution.
Banff’s winter charm enhances the aurora experience, as the snow-covered landscapes create a serene, almost ethereal atmosphere. Imagine standing under the dancing lights, surrounded by towering peaks and frozen lakes—truly a once-in-a-lifetime sight.
Whether you’re an aurora hunter or simply seeking an unforgettable winter escape, witnessing the northern lights in Banff is a bucket-list experience that combines natural wonder with the beauty of the Canadian wilderness.

Bow Falls Viewpoint
Bow Falls is a beautiful waterfall just outside the Town of Banff. Bow Falls is one wide waterfall that spans the Bow River. Dropping just 9 meters down, it’s not a huge waterfall in Alberta by any means, but it is still one of the best sights to see near the townsite. Surrounded by natural scenery and rocky cliffs, Bow Falls is also one of the most accessible waterfalls in the Canadian Rockies.
Several classic Hollywood films of the 1950s depicted famous movie stars being swept over Bow Falls, including Marilyn Monroe, Robert Mitchum – even the Son of Lassie.
General Trail Information
Some quick guidance on trail etiquette and safety includes:
Trip planning: make sure someone knows where you are going, when you will be back and what to do if you do not return on time.
Be prepared: Whether you are going out for an hour or a few days, you should always be ready for the unexpected. Some basic things you should always have with you in case you or someone in your group becomes lost or injured includes:
Map or guidebook
Water
Food
Bear spray
First aid kit
Sunglasses and sunscreen
Headlamp
Extra waterproof and warm clothing
Cellphone or satellite communication device (note: cellular service is not available in many areas of the park).
Be Bear Aware: the bears are awake from early spring to late fall so make sure you carry. and know how to use bear spray should you encounter one on the trails.
Leave no trace: Make sure you always pack out what you pack in, whether on a day hike or backcountry trip. You should also make sure you stick to the designated trails to protect valued plants and habitats. The Spirit of Christmas
The Spirit of Christmas - This 5,000 sq ft, store is more than Canada's largest year round Christmas store. We have gifts & collectables for all special occasions such as Halloween, Easter, Valentine's Birthdays, Weddings, as well as Banff Rocky Mountain and Canadian souvenirs. You' ll find Department 56 Villages and Snowbabies, Jim Shore, Dave Francis hand-carved one-of-a kind creations and more!
What can I say - love Christmas shops at any time, but this is one of the best! It's huge, has loads of choices and at the price you're prepared to pay. Needless to say, I managed to find something I simply couldn't live without and it will be a delight come December when it does out on display.
Not often that walking into a shop makes you smile, but this one does!! Go and have a look, even if you don't buy, it's just great walking around the place.
