I find it very hard to enjoy and relax. So I went to this beach in Blanes. It has beautiful clear blue beach water that I can swim. 🌊The area is super quiet and not very crowded. After the end of daylight saving time, the weather in London has become increasingly gloomy and cold, so I planned to go somewhere warm to soak up the sun over the weekend. It turned out that Barcelona wasn’t very warm either, only about fifteen degrees, but with the bright sun, I could still wear a dress and a light jacket to go out. The main goal this time was the Blanes Botanical Garden and the castle, and to take a city walk around Barcelona as well. Since I had been to Tossa before, I didn’t go this time. Considering that taking a taxi is inconvenient and the roads are quite steep, I think hiring a car would be much more comfortable—especially for me, who is already exhausted during the week and doesn’t want to be too tired on the weekend. It seems to be the off-season now, so places close early and you need to check the times carefully. There aren’t many tourists, so it’s great for taking photos. There is a café inside the botanical garden that also sells food; the taste is average but the scenery is quite nice. The white pavilion is called Templet Linné. There are many paths in the garden and the plants are tall, so without the location marker, I almost couldn’t find the right direction. The area near the white pavilion by the sea is stunning no matter how you walk or take photos! The main attraction of the Blanes castle is the large gate arch where you can see the city and the sea, which is also very beautiful. There’s nothing else much to do there. Barcelona still has as many tourists as ever, so this time I just wandered around casually. Near the Kiss Wall, there was a young man taking photos with a newspaper; it seems to be a charity organization where you can donate voluntarily but are not forced to buy anything. The rooftop bar at the nearby Lamaro Hotel has a great view, but it’s quite popular, and you might have to wait in line for seats near the edge. Then I hit a few duds with all the restaurants and ended up losing two pounds after coming back.
