Stepping underground beneath Surabaya’s iconic Heroes Monument (Tugu Pahlawan), I found myself immersed in the powerful story of Indonesia’s struggle for independence. The 10 November Museum (Museum Sepuluh Nopember) brings the Battle of Surabaya on 10 November 1945 to life through two levels of chronological exhibits, weapons, military uniforms, helmets and personal belongings of freedom fighter Bung Tomo. One of the most memorable moments was hearing his original recorded speeches—a striking reminder of the determination that inspired the people of Surabaya. The electronic and static dioramas, together with the audiovisual presentation, made the history feel remarkably vivid rather than simply something to read about. A meaningful stop for anyone interested in history, independence and the human stories behind Surabaya’s identity. 📍 10 November Museum (Museum Sepuluh Nopember), Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia #MuseumSepuluhNopemberr #10NovemberMuseum #TuguPahlawan #HeroesMonument #Surabaya #SurabayaIndonesia #EastJava #IndonesiaTravel #ExploreSurabaya #SurabayaHistory #IndonesianHistory #BattleOfSurabaya #BungTomo #HistoricalPlaces #TravelIndonesia

Visiting Tugu Pahlawan (Heroes Monument) in Surabaya was more than just seeing another landmark—it felt like stepping into a defining chapter of Indonesia’s history. The towering monument stands as a tribute to those who lost their lives during the Battle of Surabaya on 10 November 1945, an event remembered as a powerful symbol of Indonesian independence. What made my visit even more meaningful was discovering the 10 November Museum beneath the monument, where stories, photographs and historical exhibits brought the battle and its heroes closer to life. Standing beside the monument, I could really feel why Tugu Pahlawan is considered one of Surabaya’s most important symbols. A fascinating stop for anyone wanting to understand the history and spirit of the “City of Heroes.” 📍 Tugu Pahlawan (Heroes Monument), Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia #TuguPahlawan #HeroesMonument #Surabaya #EastJava #IndonesiaTravel #VisitSurabaya #SurabayaTravel #CityOfHeroes #10November #SurabayaHistory #IndonesiaHistory #IndependenceHistory #HistoricalLandmarks #TravelIndonesia #TripcomFeaturedMomentt

#Review for Income Generation #TravelIndonesia #Nightlife #Surabaya 📍The cover photo is of the zero kilometer marker near the Obelisk, a memorial to the heroes of Surabaya, located in a beautiful park in the heart of the city. This street is lined with government buildings and old colonial structures. I chose to walk because it was cool in the evening and I could comfortably admire the buildings. While walking through the old town, I noticed many beautiful and unique buildings, as well as law firms and flower and plant shops. 📍Old Town: This area has many check-in points, including the old town buildings near the traffic light, a beautiful park opposite, and unique alleyways with areas to sit and have a light meal, charming old houses, and souvenir shops. 🏣🏢 📍Chinatown: Surabaya's Chinatown is a short walk from the old town. Here you'll find a traditional Chinese-style gate, typical of Chinatowns in many countries. There are also many delicious restaurants. Another unique feature of Chinatown is that the manhole covers feature symbols of Surabaya. Finally, you'll see the Chinese community living in this area. There are many unique Chinese-style structures adorned with auspicious animals, such as dragons, which the Chinese believe bring good fortune.

#EidTourism Last Ramadan holiday, I visited Funworld Adventure at BG Junction. It's a really fun place for family time, especially if you bring your kids or nieces. There are lots of arcade games like basketball, racing, and games where you can collect tickets to exchange for prizes. What makes it different is that this area also has a large dinosaur, making it feel like you're on an adventure while playing games. 🦖🎮 The place is also comfortable because it's inside a mall, making it a great way to spend your Eid holiday without getting too hot. The kids will definitely love playing here. If you're in BG Junction, definitely stop by Funworld Adventure for a fun family time. ✨#EidTourism #creator2026

Monumen Tugu Pahlawan and Museum Sepuluh Nopember, located in Bubutan, Surabaya, are iconic landmarks of the area. Featuring a striking white monument surrounded by Western-style architecture and a unique Indonesian historical atmosphere, this site is perfect for those who love cultural and scenic photography. The spacious plaza, adorned with lush greenery, exudes a solemn historical vibe, especially under cloudy skies or amidst the sculptures. Travel Recommendations: It is recommended to arrive early in the morning when the museum is quieter, allowing for uninterrupted photography. Start at the museum's main entrance and take a signature photo at the fountain plaza with the Tugu Pahlawan (Hero Monument), commemorating Surabaya's brave independence efforts. The plaza offers various angles to capture the monument and classical Western-style buildings, creating a picturesque scene whether under sunny or cloudy skies. Next, head into the Museum Sepuluh Nopember exhibition hall, which features detailed panels, old photographs, and artifacts that narrate the history of Indonesia's independence war and local heroes. The exhibition space is thoughtfully designed, with interactive content and audio guides available in English and Indonesian, making it suitable for families with children. A visit to the museum typically takes 1 to 1.5 hours. Must-Visit Photo Spots: · The plaza at the base of the Hero Monument (especially during cloudy or dappled sunlight conditions for added charm) · The mural and stained glass windows at the exhibition hall entrance · The historical artifact displays inside the museum, particularly items related to the Battle of Surabaya Practical Tips: 1. Open Tuesday to Sunday, from 8 AM to 3 PM, closed on Mondays. Avoid visiting during midday (especially after 12 PM) as it can get hot and crowded outdoors. 2. Bring a sun hat and water bottle as the outdoor plaza has limited shade, and waiting for photos may feel hot. 3. The museum is air-conditioned, but remember to stay hydrated when transitioning between indoor and outdoor areas. 4. There are small snack shops nearby, but options are limited. Plan your main meals before or after your visit. Summary: Monumen Tugu Pahlawan and the National History Museum are must-visit destinations in Surabaya for those interested in local history and culture. Whether under sunny skies or light rain, the architecture and park scenery are highly photogenic. History and photography enthusiasts will not be disappointed!

#November Destinations 2025 Surabaya Pasarturi Railway Station (SBI), also known as Pasar Turi Station, is the second largest railway station in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. Located at the border of Gundih and Tembok Dukuh villages in Bubutan district, it is near the famous Pasar Turi market. Built in 1900 by Nederlandsch-Indische Spoorweg Maatschappij (NIS), the first private railway company in the Dutch East Indies, it showcases a unique historical character, unlike other stations built by Staatsspoorwegen (SS). As a large Type A railway station, it is only 1 meter above sea level and is 724.4 kilometers from Kota Station in Jakarta. It is a major hub on the Pantai Utara (North Line), connecting Surabaya to Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bandung, and other western cities. The station has 8 tracks; track 2 was originally a direct line to Jakarta, and track 3 leads to Gubeng Station. Numerous trains depart daily, including long-distance trains such as Argo Bromo Anggrek, Sembrani, and Harina, as well as the KAI Commuter commuter lines (Sindro, Arjonegoro, Blorasura), connecting Sidoarjo, Bojonegoro, and other destinations. From January to October 2024, the station handled over 2.71 million passengers, making it the fifth busiest station in Indonesia. Since 2023, a facial recognition system has been implemented to improve efficiency. The station boasts comprehensive facilities, including a ticket hall, waiting room, restaurant, and accessible amenities. Admission is free; tickets vary depending on the train. Nearby attractions include Tunas Abadi Market and Alun-Alun Surabaya Square, all within walking distance.
