Here, both the villagers and the shopkeepers are warm and welcoming, with a simple demeanor and the qualities of a tourist village. Chatting with the villagers will reveal many interesting local customs. _ ▶️ | [Itinerary and Tips] ✔️ Mingshi Countryside Village is free to enter. Directly locate your B&B. If you're just passing through, locate the LUX* Daxin County Resort. You'll also pass the Happiness Bridge (an attraction). ✔️ The tour includes three activities: cycling in Mingshi Countryside, playing in the water at Yuling Dam, and taking a boat ride at Dongna Island Bay. The duration of the cycling and water activities depends on your needs. The Dongna Island Bay tour takes about 3 hours, so purchasing tickets from the B&B owner is more convenient than through the online platform. ✔️ A half-day is enough to explore the area, but a full day is more relaxing. We stayed one night. We arrived in the evening on the first day and walked through the fields and had a bite to eat. On the second day, we spent the morning exploring, cycling through the village, and playing in the water at Yuling Dam. There were five cycling routes in total. ✔️ I can't recommend B&Bs here, as each one has its own unique characteristics. The food and B&Bs are mainly concentrated along a roughly half-kilometer stretch of road centered around Saigon Café. Choose based on your preferences. ✔️Roasted suckling pig is a local delicacy and a must-have dish during major festivals. The pig's belly is stuffed with spices, then grilled whole over a fire until golden brown and shared. We happened to come across a restaurant opening, and the roast suckling pig chefs, seeing our curiosity, generously explained the process and let us take photos. ✔️Cycling options include bicycles (15r/h), electric bikes (30r/h), and small baguettes (50r/h). They can be rented anywhere along the road; be sure to bargain. The three of us initially rented small baguettes, but found them unsafe around turns, so we switched to electric bikes. ✔️The greenway is accessible on foot, but electric bikes are not. Several check-in points are located here. If you prefer not to walk, take the scenic area sightseeing bus (fee required). ✔️Play in the water at Yuling Dam. If you have children, remember to bring swimsuits and water guns. Electric bikes are parked here for 5 yuan. ✔️Be sure to wear sunscreen and insect repellent. The mosquitoes are very strong. When using sunscreen, pay attention to the area around your eyes. My child and I both got sunburned while cycling. _
