Unlike samgyeopsal and the well-known bulgogi, they use soy sauce and green onion kimchi to add flavor. The fried rice at the end is a must! ! 📍Suiamgok Observatory 📍Oji After strolling around the observation deck, we went to Cafe Oji near the top! It's located high up, so the view is great and it's a spacious cafe with multiple floors, so you can relax without worrying about your surroundings! 📍Yukkori General Market This market is said to be the largest in Cheongju! Last weekend, I visited Cheongju to see the stunning Shasta daisies in full bloom. It was my first time seeing such a beautiful display of fried eggs (Shasta daisies), and I couldn't believe I hadn't discovered this place earlier! As one of Cheongju's iconic spots, the 200-pyeong area was filled with white daisies, and the daisy fountain in the center of the café was absolutely gorgeous. The outdoor huts were especially charming, with many visitors reserving spots and taking lots of photos. While waiting for a reservation, you can take pictures in the outdoor daisy field, making the wait enjoyable. Additionally, the café offers a spacious glass greenhouse and outdoor terrace, providing plenty of seating even during busy weekend afternoons. I originally just wanted to find an accommodation that was close to the airport and convenient, but I didn’t expect that this Enford Hotel would surprise me a bit. It takes less than 15 minutes by taxi from Cheongju Airport to the hotel, which is a lifesaver for me who just got off the plane and dragged my luggage. The hotel's exterior and public spaces feel like they were recently renovated, and are clean and modern, especially the lobby which is bright and textured. The staff was very friendly during check-in. We had no problem communicating in English. They also took the initiative to help us adjust the check-in time to an early one (originally scheduled for 3pm, but we were allowed into the room at 12pm), which was a real plus! The room was generally comfortable, but there were a few minor drawbacks: the air conditioning didn't seem to be very effective, with the temperature in the room reaching 30 degrees at night. Fortunately, it improved after I asked the front desk to deal with it; the bathroom was newly renovated, but the smell was a bit pungent, which might be a problem with the detergent or ventilation. But I still give it a good score for overall cleanliness. The facilities nearby are superb. Downstairs is the Homeplus hypermarket, and supermarket lovers will go crazy for it. There are also many cafes, breakfast shops, 24-hour convenience stores, and even nightclubs across the street and in the alleys, so you can find everything you need for a good lifestyle. If you like to eat local food like me and don't want to go too far, this place is really suitable The best part is that there is a bus stop right at the door, which takes you directly to the city center business district, so you don’t have to worry about transportation at all.
