Always drove past but never explored the Heritage Walk at Tan Hiok Nee street. There are many very retro looking shops and eateries around the area. It’s a place where u can find many of the delicious local food and drinks 🤤. Just need to look out for long queues to spot those popular shops. This is one place that I would highly recommend to shop and eat when u visit JB !

A very popular shop in Johor Bahru now. This is a branch of Bottega in JB. We were 8 adults and tried many dishes. Overall, it was ordinary. I don’t think any of them were particularly delicious. Perhaps the most satisfying thing was the pizza and pork mashed potatoes we chose. The bread of the pizza was indeed very good. The meat inside was a little salty, but it was really a lot. It would be better if it was less salty. The pork was very soft and tender. It was paired with mashed potatoes, like baby food 🤣. Mushroom soup was RM18 per serving. It was flavorful and had a strong pepper flavor (this depends on personal preference). The bread inside was very crispy and very good. Garlic smash had a very light garlic flavor. It was different from what I imagined. I thought it would have a strong garlic flavor. However, this was my first time ordering this dish. I don’t know if all garlic smashes are like this. When they came to ask us if we were satisfied with the food, we asked them. They said that this was served with cheese. If you think the garlic taste was light, you can tell them in advance that you want more garlic flavor next time. The service was good and the presentation was also good. They gave us a tiramisu before leaving. It was a good gift. I think it was good. But this dessert is very controversial. We toured the Grand Palace and the old city of Chinatown, went to a temple, and then went for a cultural experience! There, we made Indian curry and orchids, painted pictures, and watched traditional Malaysian dances! It was so hot that I thought I would collapse, but the prices were so cheap that it was great, and it was so great to see Malaysian culture and the grand palace!
