I finally made my way to Chester, a hidden gem of a town in Northwest England! It boasts the most intact Roman walls in the UK, super dreamy black-and-white Tudor architecture, and cobblestone streets. The mix of Continental vibes and nostalgic British retro charm is absolutely unmatched! The value for money is off the charts✨~ There are hardly any crowds, the scenery is super chill, and it’s the perfect spot for aesthetic photos—every shot gives off pure fairytale vibes! 🧱 Historic Roman City Wall Walk Chester has the best-preserved Roman city walls in the entire UK, stretching around 2 kilometers. Taking a slow, relaxing stroll along them offers an amazing bird's-eye view of the whole town🟫. I highly recommend going in the morning or at sunset. When the light hits the ancient stone walls, it feels so romantic and rich in history—you'll feel like you just stepped onto the set of a British period drama! 🏡 Black-and-White Tudor High Street: Ultimate Fairytale Vibes An absolute favorite for the Instagram girlies! After visiting England, Scotland and Ireland in the UK, I started telling my friends, “I want to go to Wales!” After my first trip to England, I had an inexplicable yearning for medieval fortresses. But after being in Europe for a while, I couldn’t find any castles similar to the medieval empires in my heart. After my friend promised me that I could drive to Wales, I specifically wanted to go to Conwy Castle. The castle requires tickets, but no reservation is required in advance. Overall, it is not very large, and there are not many tourists visiting. You can enjoy the scenery from different directions by going up the stone steps. You can see the sea, the mountains, the small village next to it, and the train passing through the extended structure of the castle. There is a suspension bridge extending next to the castle. You can look back and take pictures of the entire castle from one end of the suspension bridge. But looking at the introduction to the past history, I feel how fortunate I am to have the tranquility now. Travel | Castle During my trip to the UK, I took a little detour to Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 D1 Zip World Fforest | Wales About a 3.5-hour drive from Southern England. Grabbed Burger King for lunch on the way 🍔 Then continued the drive to Zip World Fforest. The Forest Coaster gives you three rides, so I had a blast! They even film you, and you can buy the video online if you like it—it's such a great souvenir 🫶🏻 I heard they have a Zip Safari too; I'm curious about that one. After all the fun, I got back in the car and just kept driving. As soon as the road signs became unreadable... I knew the Wales vibes were really kicking in, lol. Reached my destination in the evening. Had dinner and went to bed early to prep for tomorrow. Sightseeing in Wales finally starts tomorrow! D2 Llandudno | Great Orme Tramway | Great Orme Mines | Alice in Wonderland Town Trail 🚋 Took the Great Orme Tramway to the summit. First, I soaked in the views from the Great Orme Summit 👀 The weather was perfect, and the sky was so blue! On the way down, I stopped at the Great Orme Mines. The underground exploration was way more interesting than I expected. Spent about an hour there, including the wait time. 📝 I bought a round-trip tram ticket, but if you're visiting the Great Orme Mines, walking back down might have been a better idea 📝 After that was the part I was looking forward to most: The Alice in Wonderland Town Trail. The tourist center sells official maps for a fee, which I highly recommend if you want to see everything 🙌🏻 I tried to find them just using Google Maps, and it took forever. I probably only found about 1/3 of them, lol. D3 Conwy Castle | Aber Falls For my final day in Wales, first stop: Conwy Castle! Built by King Edward I in the 13th century, it still features massive walls and eight towers today. This medieval castle looks incredibly powerful even from a distance. I climbed the towers to take in the views of Conwy’s sea, mountains, and town. Though with eight towers to climb, I couldn't make it to all of them, lol. I took the day tour of North Wales from Chester, and Frank was our guide. He shared a lot of fascinating insights about all the places on our route and kept us engaged throughout the long day with his interactive style. Although the stops were relatively short, they allowed enough time to experience the highlights of each location. Llandudno was beautiful, and the standout for me was Conway with its awe-inspiring castle. Despite my limited mobility, I faced no issues as the places we visited had plenty of seating and some delightful cafes—special mention to Seymour’s in Llandudno! It was a long but wonderful day. The valley in Snowdonia National Park was breathtaking, and I got some incredible photos. The day's timing was well-maintained, so we didn’t run late—except for some traffic on the return, which was beyond anyone’s control. Overall, a great day and truly fantastic value for money. Highly recommend!

A super rewarding half-day trip to Conwy! We decided to start from Llandudno Junction station and walked all the way across the bridge. It didn’t take long before the magnificent Conwy Castle came into view—so spectacular! The water was dotted with countless floating sailboats, making the view even more picturesque. To top it off, we must have stumbled into a local festival today because everyone was dressed up as pirates!
