Luoyang Guanlin is the only site in the country that combines tomb, temple, and forest worship, known alongside the Confucius Forest as the "Twin Sacred Forests." The origins of Luoyang Guanlin date back to the Three Kingdoms period. In 219 AD, Sun Quan launched a surprise attack on Jingzhou, leading to Guan Yu's defeat and death at Maicheng.
