Aman's Autumn Tribute
Autumn colors are spreading across Asia and the world, inviting travelers to slow down and explore each destination in depth. Across Aman's global portfolio, experiences rooted in nature, culture, history, and spiritual traditions guide guests to connect deeply with their surroundings in unique ways: visiting ancient temples, savoring local culinary traditions, or spending unhurried time by the water.
Realms of History, Nature, and Spirit
Aman's retreats in Indonesia and the Indochinese Peninsula embrace the season with a series of autumn experiences that celebrate nature, culture, history, and spiritual heritage—the core of the Aman brand philosophy.
Amansara reopened on September 15, 2026, following a comprehensive enhancement, offering a refreshed guest experience centered on Cambodia's profound historical and cultural heritage. This enhancement aimed to preserve the architectural legacy and royal history of the former Villa Princière, while introducing new room categories, refreshing dining and social spaces, expanding wellness facilities, and optimizing the overall resort experience. Five suites now feature private pools, and the resort has introduced new Junior Pool Suites and Two-Bedroom Family Pool Suites, alongside carefully refreshed existing interiors. One of the most notable new spaces is a signature bar located within the former royal private dining area, which served as a private dining venue for King Sihanouk and the royal family between 1962 and 1965.
To fully experience these enhancements, the "Spirit of Angkor" journey begins with an exclusive, guided exploration of ancient temples, followed by afternoon tea back at the resort and a sunset boat ride across Tonlé Sap Lake to soak in the tranquil atmosphere as dusk falls. Meanwhile, the "Family Adventure Exclusive" offers a 4-night stay, featuring cycling trips to jungle temples and jeep excursions through the countryside, combining the cultural allure of Angkor's monuments with the natural beauty beyond the archaeological park to help guests further explore the local landscape and regional character.
Moving to Luang Prabang, Amantaka invites guests into the spiritual heart of Laos. Guests can witness the centuries-old morning alms-giving ceremony right in front of the resort, stroll through the streets of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed old town, or travel along the Mekong River to the sacred Pak Ou Caves.
Drawing inspiration from traditional Lao healing wisdom, the Aman Spa offers bespoke wellness journeys that allow guests to appreciate the local culture's emphasis on balance and well-being from a new perspective. For deeper immersion, the "Spiritual Laos" package combines a 3-night stay, daily breakfast, and lunch or dinner with a series of soul-enriching experiences, including a 120-minute Baci purification ceremony and monk-led meditation, inviting guests to delve into the destination's spiritual traditions.
Modeled after a traditional village and perched above the Ayung River Valley, Amandari has long welcomed travelers seeking introspection and exploration of the cultural heart of Bali. This autumn, guests can follow the "Ubud Valley Trail" through forest paths, hiking or cycling past rice paddies and villages, eventually reaching a hilltop overlooking the Ayung Valley. Here, guests can enjoy a picnic-style breakfast, listen to live Rindik music, and learn how to prepare traditional Balinese snacks.
The resort will also celebrate autumn with the "Flavors Without Borders" dinner series. Every Friday evening, the menu will focus on a unique culinary tradition, ranging from regional Italian classics to exquisite Japanese cuisine, guiding guests to encounter different cultures through every dish.
On Bali's lush east coast, Amankila showcases the island's natural beauty from a different perspective. Before sunrise, guests can board a traditional jukung boat and sail into the Lombok Strait to witness the morning light illuminating Mount Agung and the coastline, enjoying a light breakfast while watching local fishermen at work, with the occasional dolphin breaking the surface.
As night falls, the Karangasem Royal Dinner invites guests to connect with local royal heritage. This private dinner is hosted at the Ujung Water Palace, inspired by Karangasem regional flavors and accompanied by traditional music, setting the stage for a special evening that blends history and fine dining.
On the southernmost peninsula of Bali, Aman Villas at Nusa Dua are hidden within lush tropical gardens, where private pools, dedicated chefs, and butler service create an Eden-like stay. Guests can enjoy a traditional textile experience, gaining an up-close understanding of the Balinese tradition of wearing fabrics by wrapping rather than cutting, followed by a private photo session.
The resort's beach barbecue dinner offers a more relaxed way to gather. Guests can enjoy a menu customized with fresh, seasonal local ingredients on a private beach, spending a leisurely evening along the golden coast.
Amanjiwo rests in the spiritual heart of Central Java, continuing the exploration of Indonesian history and culture. The new "Javanese Epicurean Journey" invites guests to visit a traditional market, then head to the resort's organic garden to harvest ingredients, and finally prepare authentic dishes with the Amanjiwo culinary team in a traditional Javanese Joglo. The open-air Sasanaboga Joglo offers a more intimate dining setting, where guests can savor the natural flavors nurtured by the fertile land.
Coastal Escapes
For many, there is no better place to spend this season than by the water. Time slows down, minds unwind, and people can focus on gathering and celebrating. At Aman's coastal retreats and remote island sanctuaries, the autumn scenery shifts quietly, the weather cools, and the crowds thin, making it the perfect time to return to nature.
On the coast of Moyo Island, an ideal day at Amanwana begins with a private boat trip into Saleh Bay. Guests can swim with whale sharks in their natural habitat for an unforgettable experience and, guided by local experts, discover the extraordinary marine ecosystem of Sumbawa.
Back on land, guests can hike deep into the tropical forest to Mata Jitu (also known as Barry's Falls). Cascading limestone pools formed by spring water are hidden deep within the woods, offering guests a secluded swimming spot to find tranquility amidst the pure natural beauty of the earth.
Amanoi, situated on the shores of Vinh Hy Bay with Nui Chua National Park as a backdrop, presents traditional Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations. With different themed beach dinners each night, mooncake-making workshops, and traditional lantern experiences, families are invited to spend time together. From hiking in the Rock Park and tasting Vietnamese coffee and chocolate to stargazing at night, guests can also connect with this UNESCO-listed biosphere reserve from various dimensions.
Through the "Extend Your Journey" offer, guests can slow down even further: stay 4 nights or more to receive 1 complimentary night, along with daily breakfast and round-trip airport transfers.
On Aman's private island in the Philippines, Amanpulo offers a truly secluded island experience. Surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of the Sulu Sea, hidden coves and hillside viewpoints provide otherworldly settings for picnics and private dinners with family and friends.
Guests wishing to extend their island time can choose the "Extend Your Stay" offer, receiving a complimentary 4th night for every 3 nights booked, along with daily breakfast and a variety of island activities. Guests can also stay in Amanpulo villas, which include spacious residences with up to 4 bedrooms, providing ample space for family and friends to experience island life together.
At Amanpuri, the birthplace of Aman, private coastal dinners continue this same relaxed philosophy. The menu is carefully designed around fresh, seasonal produce and is served leisurely as the sunset paints the Andaman Sea sky.
For families planning a stay of 3 nights or more, the "Amanpuri Villa Experience" includes meals prepared by a private Thai chef, group sports classes, one 60-minute full-body massage for 2, and round-trip airport transfers, making the villa a private sanctuary for exploring Phuket and experiencing the destination at a leisurely pace.
