Sheremetyevo was opened in 1959 and now it is the busiest airport in Russia and the second busiest in Europe. Originally the airport was called “ Sheremetyevo International airport” after a nearby village. In 2019 the name was “extended” and now it is including the name of the Russian poet Alexander S. Pushkin. Six terminals, 3 runways are in active use, and the 3rd runway was opened in 2019. 🛫 Took a plane from Guangzhou to Moscow (4555 RMB) around 11 hours 20 minutes. The company was Aeroflot. Some crew members were so rude, lazy to help or lazy to work. They served lunch and dinner (Chinese style noodles or rice and fish). 🛬 Arrived to Moscow Sheremetyevo airport and took airport express to city. I don’t remember the ticket price. 😁 ❗️ The airport is sooooo confusing. It doesn’t have second floor, only 1st and 3rd. 😂 but it’s okay, signs are quite clear. Came to Moscow and stayed at the Cosmos Hotel. I didn’t expect the experience to be so good👍! ➿The door is mainly blue, fresh and natural, and the style is eye-catching. There are self-service coffee machines and snack cabinets in the lobby. ✅The price starts from 410, which is very cost-effective! The room rates are reasonable. ✅There are various sofas and chairs at the front desk of the lobby for you to take a rest. The overall environment is ins style. After checking in at 2 pm, you can go upstairs with the room card. ✅There is an ironing area in the corridor...convenient for guests who need to iron clothes. ✅Hotel 🏨The room card needs to be inserted into the door handle to open the door, and then inserted into the designated position on the wall to power up the entire room... ✅The rooms, whether king-size or double, are spacious and comfortable, much larger than other old-style hotels in Europe! Some rooms even have cloakrooms, so guests can experience 100% comfort! ✅There are many charging sockets 🔌 or data cables 🪫 in the room for guests to charge (you need to bring a round ⭕️ converter plug for China). Each room is equipped with 2 bottles of aqua blue, one bottle of pure water and one bottle of red sparkling water. Disposable slippers are also available, but toiletries are not provided. In general, I flew with this airline and it was okay. The flight wasn't too tiring, but the departure flight was a bit delayed, but the return flight was on time.

On January 1st, I challenged myself to read 100 books in a year. I first attempted such a daunting task at 16, and I succeeded. I can't forget the first day I set foot in Russia! When I arrived at Serenityevo Airport, I was surprised by its size, and I felt proud of my country while watching advertisements for Korean car brands. But as soon as I got out, I got stung by a bee and went to the airport emergency room, where I had to go through a brutal initiation ceremony by getting 3 shots. I can laugh about it now, but it was so scary, I'm lost in old memories 😄

I always feel this, but Russia seems to like everything big because it has a large land area. I have visited Sheremetyevo Airport many times, and I have experienced the scale of the airport more than once. For various reasons, there are not many people compared to the size of the airport. Some terminals are even closed. I hope that the airport will be revitalized by increasing the number of Korean-Russian flights again.

I have visited Sheremetyevo Airport many times, but it really feels like a big airport. The distance between terminals is far, and since Russia is so big, the airport feels big. I am thinking about many things as I look at the plane before my flight back to Korea.
