I first explored Xiaoxi Street and Yishang Street, but the somewhat bland streetscapes and crowded snack streets left me a bit disappointed. 😔 The food at Zhou Sheng Ji was not to my taste, and while the Pangu Pig's Trotters were passable, the overall experience was mediocre. 🍜 If time allowed, I might recommend you to visit the Fisherman's Wharf and Taihu Ancient Town to experience the charm of Huzhou's night. 📍Nanxun Ancient Town: Serenity in Time Early Saturday morning, I took a rideshare to the long-awaited Nanxun Ancient Town. The takeaway breakfast of Zifan rice balls was a delightful surprise, tasty and satisfying. 🍙 Then, I headed straight to the makeup shop 'Bridge Side Girl' and transformed into a woman with flowers in her hair. Although the makeup process was assembly-line style, the effect was decent enough to immerse me in the charm of the ancient town. The Longfeng Noodle House in the ancient town was bustling, but I opted for a simple roadside snack, the sweet aroma of Shuangjiao noodles gave me a taste of the unique Jiangsu and Zhejiang flavors. 🍜 In the afternoon, I enjoyed tea and the view at Chunlan Tea House, where the three-course tea and Dingsheng cake allowed me to feel the tranquility and harmony of the ancient town. 🍵 The warmth and kindness of the grandfatherly figure made me feel even more at home. 📸Baijianlou: The Quiet Beauty of the Ancient Town Baijianlou is a residential area of the ancient town, quiet and beautiful. I strolled along the river, taking photos as I walked, soaking in the ancient town's charm. 📷 There were tea houses and restaurants by the river, and I chose Aunt Yang's place, where a corner seat allowed me to capture the beautiful view of the bridge. 🌉 The stir-fried dishes for dinner were tasty, making me take a second look at the town's cuisine. As night fell, the ancient town lit up, and I returned to my hotel early to rest, looking forward to the next morning's scenery. 🏨 🌅The Ancient Town in the Morning: A Scroll of Ink Painting On Saturday morning, I got up early and walked the streets of the ancient town. The town is most beautiful around five or six o'clock, with the first light of dawn piercing through the mist, a delightful surprise. 🌅 The ancient town seemed like a scroll of ink painting, with the lake as calm as a mirror, reflecting the ancient and weathered houses, as if time had stood still here. Along the way, I entered the hard-to-find coffee shop, where the aroma of coffee and the interior decor made me linger. The taste of the rice-scented latte was unforgettable, and I even asked the owner for the recipe afterward. ☕ As the sun rose, the number of tourists in the ancient town gradually increased. I wandered around, feeling the hustle and bustle of the ancient town. After lunch, I boarded the return train with a heart full of memories and some delicious pastries. 🚄 This trip to Nanxun allowed me to experience the charm of the Jiangnan water towns and the quiet beauty of the ancient town. Although I had some hesitations before, I truly feel it was worth the visit. 💖 I will come back to experience Nanxun in different seasons and feel its unique charm. 🌸
