行程路線建議：
建議自駕或搭乘巴士由阿蘇市區前往阿蘇山，旅途大約30分鐘。到達後可以先去附近人氣烘焙咖啡店歇一歇，欣賞遠山同山腳下嘅低矮建築群。然後再踏上山頂遊覽火山口區域，但要留意天氣狀況，如果遇上大霧或陰雨，山上景致會較為模糊，有時甚至「咩都睇唔到」。

1. Living, Breathing Nature, Mount Aso🌋
The Kumamoto journey begins with Mount Aso.
The vast grasslands (Kusasenri) along the way were breathtaking, but the highlight was definitely the crater!
Seeing the smoke rising from the crater, I couldn't help but think, "Wow, the Earth is alive!"

Capturing the magnificent scenery with a backdrop is a must-have for a memorable photo. 📸

2. Kumamoto Flavors! Ramen & Tonkatsu🍜🥩
Even Mount Diamond is best enjoyed after a meal! Since you're in Kumamoto, you must try these two signature dishes.

🍜 Ramen: Kumamoto ramen with a rich tonkotsu broth and garlic chips (or black garlic oil)! Take a sip and the rich, deep flavor hits you in a hearty slurp. The umami is incredible.

The rich milk soft serve ice cream topped with fresh strawberries felt refreshing.
It was sweet and refreshing, cooling me off and recharging my sugar levels. Of course, I have a special need for dessert. 😋

I was so happy to see this adorable black bear everywhere I went in Kumamoto.
I went to Kumamon Square (the manager's office) to browse the merchandise, and just staring at him was so healing, his deadly cuteness...❤️
I ended up buying a bunch of plush toys and keychains. I can't stop being a Kumamon fan!

세계 최대급 칼데라 화산답게 스케일이 진짜 압도적이더라고요.
분화구에서 하얀 연기가 뿜어져 나오는 걸 눈앞에서 보는데, "와..." 소리밖에 안 나왔습니다.
광활하게 펼쳐진 쿠사센리 초원도 걸어봤는데,

Our first stop was Mount Aso!
As befitting one of the world's largest caldera volcanoes, its scale was truly overwhelming.
Seeing white smoke billowing from the crater, all I could say was, "Wow..."

We also walked through the vast Kusasenri Grassland,
and felt a sense of relief!
We were filled with the energy of nature. This is a definite photo opportunity! 📸

2. The ultimate in richness, 'Aso Milk Factory' 🥛
We also stopped by the Aso Milk Factory, where you can taste fresh milk from Mount Aso.
They're famous for their milk and cheese, right?
I tried some soft-serve ice cream,
and it was incredibly rich and smooth.
It melted in my mouth the moment I put it in... I got a full sugar rush.
It was also a great place to buy souvenirs like cheese and Baumkuchen!

3. A stroll through the fairytale-like hot spring town of 'Kurokawa Onsen' ♨️
Our trip concluded with a visit to Kurokawa Onsen, nestled deep in the mountains.
Just strolling through the streets lined with ryokans was wonderful.
The black wooden buildings and the steam rising from the hot springs created a truly captivating atmosphere...✨

It felt like I'd stepped into Spirited Away.

1. 13:15 360도 파노라마 절경! '다이칸보 전망대' ⛰️
버스를 타고 달려 아소 최고의 뷰 포인트, '다이칸보(Daikanbo)'에 도착했습니다.
압도적인 스케일:
전망대에 서면 거대한 칼데라 분지와 병풍처럼 둘러선 아소 5악이 360도 파노라마로 펼쳐집니다.
시원한 바람을 맞으며 웅장한 풍경을 바라보고 있으니, 그동안 쌓인 스트레스가 싹 씻겨 내려가는 기분이었습니다.
여기서 찍는 사진은 무조건 인생샷 확정! 📸

2. 14:15 고즈넉한 힐링 산책, '쿠로가와 온천 마을' ♨️
오후 일정의 하이라이트는 동화 속 마을 같은 쿠로가와 온천 마을입니다.
검은 기와와 나무로 된 전통 료칸들이 계곡을 따라 옹기종기 모여있어 분위기가 정말 예술이었어요.
약 100분의 넉넉한 시간 동안 졸졸 흐르는 강물 소리 들으며 마을 구석구석을 산책하고 족욕을 즐기니 피로가 절로 풀렸습니다.

3. 17:45 투어 종료 & 현지인 맛집 '도이치' 뒤풀이 🏮
오후 5시 45분, 사쿠라마치 터미널에 도착해 버스 투어가 끝났습니다.
여행의 마무리는 맛있는 음식과 술이 빠질 수 없죠! 터미널 근처 현지인 찐맛집, 철판요리 전문점 '도이치(都一)'로 향했습니다.

After exploring the breathtaking observatory and fairytale-like hot spring village, we returned to the city and capped off the day with a perfect meal at the local favorite, 'Toichi.'

From admiring the majestic nature to a delicious dinner,
I'm sharing my experiences of this fulfilling afternoon!

1. 1:15 PM: A Breathtaking 360-Degree Panoramic View! 'Daikanbo Observatory' ⛰️
We took a bus and arrived at 'Daikanbo,' Aso's premier viewpoint.

Overwhelming scale:
From the observatory, a 360-degree panorama unfolds, revealing the vast caldera basin and the Aso Five Peaks, which surround it like a folding screen. As I gazed at the magnificent scenery with the cool breeze, I felt all the accumulated stress wash away.
The photos here are guaranteed to be the best! 📸

2. 2:15 PM: A quiet, healing stroll through Kurokawa Onsen Village ♨️
The highlight of our afternoon itinerary was the fairytale-like Kurokawa Onsen Village.
The traditional ryokans, with their black tiles and wooden structures, were clustered along the valley, creating a truly artistic atmosphere.
For about 100 minutes, I strolled through the village, listening to the babbling river, and enjoyed a foot bath. My fatigue was completely relieved.

3. 5:45 PM: Tour End & After-Party at a Local Restaurant, "Doichi" 🏮
At 5:45 PM, we arrived at Sakuramachi Terminal, concluding our bus tour.
No trip is complete without delicious food and drinks! We headed to "Doichi," a local favorite near the terminal, specializing in teppanyaki.
🍺 With the "Banju Set," a great value.
The restaurant was already bustling with locals after work! We ordered the "Banju Set," known for its great value.

Main Dish: Okonomiyaki & Yakisoba
The thick okonomiyaki was filling and filling, and the yakisoba was delicious, with springy noodles soaked in a savory sauce.
Side Dishes: Oden (Daikon, Konjac, Fish Cake)
The daikon, perfectly seasoned and well-cooked, was a real treat.
The warm broth was soothing.
Alcohol: Highball & Coke
A refreshing highball washed away the travel fatigue, and I felt like I had nothing left to envy.

We enjoyed a delightful evening, reflecting on a fulfilling day, while enjoying the sizzling food sizzling on the grill.

구마모토 하면 떠오르는 귀여운 쿠마몬을 만나고, 이곳에서만 맛볼 수 있는 특별한 미식까지 즐기고 온 알찬 하루!

지금 바로 시작합니다. ✈️
1. 구마모토 도착 & 런치: 인생 말고기 '스가노야' 🐴
구마모토에 도착하자마자 짐을 맡기러 '칸데오 호텔 구마모토 신시가이'로 향했습니다.
위치가 아케이드 상가랑 가까워서 진짜 편하더라고요.
점심은 구마모토에 오면 꼭 먹어야 한다는 말고기 요리 전문점, '스가노야 긴자 거리 점'으로!
오후 12시 30분에 미리 예약을 해둬서 웨이팅 없이 바로 들어갔습니다.
말고기 육회(바사시)가 비리지 않을까 걱정했는데,
웬걸? 입에서 살살 녹는 게 소고기보다 더 부드럽고 고소했어요. 런치 코스로 즐기니 가성비도 굳! 👍

쿠마몬 집무실 구경도 하고 귀여운 굿즈들도 샀어요. 운 좋으면 쿠마몬이 춤추는 공연도 볼 수 있는데, 그 뚱뚱한 몸으로 춤추는 게 치명적입니다. 심장 부여잡으세요. 💘

4. 체크인 & 휴식: 칸데오 호텔 구마모토 신시가이 🏨
3시가 넘어 호텔 체크인!
'칸데오 호텔'은 대욕장(스카이 스파)이 있어서 여행 피로 풀기에 최고예요.
아까 캔두에서 산 배쓰밤은 객실 욕조에서 쓰고, 저녁엔 대욕장 가서 뜨끈하게 지지니 천국이 따로 없었습니다.

5. 저녁: 야키토리 이자카야 '버드맨' 🍢🍺
저녁 8시, 예약해 둔 야키토리 맛집 '버드맨(Birdman) 긴자 거리 점'으로 이동했습니다.

현지인들에게도 인기 많은 곳이라 예약 필수!
숯불 향 가득 배어있는 닭꼬치에 시원한 하이볼 한 잔... 캬! 🍺
직원분들도 파이팅 넘치고 분위기가 좋아서 술이 술술 들어갔습니다. 구마모토의 밤을 마무리하기에 완벽한 곳이었어요.

Hello! Today, I bring you a travel diary of Kumamoto, a beloved destination near Fukuoka.

A day filled with meeting the adorable Kumamon and enjoying unique local delicacies that can only be found here!

Let's get started. ✈️

1. Arrival in Kumamoto & Lunch: Life-Changing Horse Meat at 'Suganoya' 🐴
As soon as we arrived in Kumamoto, we headed to 'Candeo Hotels Kumamoto Shinshigai' to drop off our luggage. Its location near the arcade shopping street was super convenient.

For lunch, we went to 'Suganoya Ginza Street Branch,' a must-visit horse meat specialty restaurant in Kumamoto! We had made a reservation for 12:30 PM, so we were seated without any wait.

I was worried the horse meat sashimi (basashi) might taste gamey, but to my surprise, it was incredibly tender and flavorful, even more so than beef. The lunch course was also great value for money! 👍 (My youngest sibling treated us 🫶🏻)

2. Shimotori Arcade Shopping & Arcade Fun 🛍️🕹️
With our stomachs full, we strolled through 'Shimotori Arcade' to aid digestion.

💳 Pro Tip (COCOSA Shimotori): There's a fee-free ATM for Travel Wallet on the basement floor of the 'COCOSA' shopping mall. If you need cash, withdraw it here!

🛀 Shopping (Can Do): We stopped by the 100-yen shop 'Can Do' to buy bath bombs for the hotel. Japanese bath bombs often come with cute figurines inside, making them fun to choose.

🕹️ Arcade (Taito Station): We couldn't resist stopping by Taito Station for some gacha and claw machine fun! (Be careful not to overspend here 😂)

3. Meeting Kumamoto's Idol! 'Kumamon Square' 🐻
In the afternoon, we visited 'Kumamon Square' to meet Kumamoto's beloved mascot, Kumamon.

4. Check-In & Relaxation: Candeo Hotels Kumamoto Shinshigai 🏨
After 3 PM, we checked into the hotel! 'Candeo Hotels' has a large public bath (Sky Spa), perfect for unwinding after a day of travel.

I used the bath bombs from Can Do in the room's bathtub and later soaked in the public bath in the evening. It was pure bliss.

5. Dinner: Yakitori Izakaya 'Birdman' 🍢🍺
At 8 PM, we headed to 'Birdman Ginza Street Branch,' a yakitori restaurant we had reserved earlier.

It's a popular spot among locals, so reservations are a must! The charcoal-grilled skewers paired with a refreshing highball were divine. 🍺 The staff were energetic, and the atmosphere was lively, making it the perfect place to end the night in Kumamoto.
