Tai Sia Huk Chow Shrine or Chao Pho Heng Chia Shrine, Sam Chin Temple is considered the oldest in Thailand. It was built during the reign of King Rama II. Inside the shrine is the image of Chao Pho Heng Chia, which is Tai Sia Huk Chow, meaning he has become an arahant, sitting cross-legged on a lotus flower. The deity is carved from ancient sacred wood, lacquered and gilded, and is hundreds of years old. It is the first deity in Thailand that has been with Sam Chin Temple for a long time.
