Amazing journey to India to meet family. Transited through Singapore and got to see the stunning setup at Changi Airport — honestly, you need a decent transit time just to take it all in. The Jewel waterfall, the gardens, the food… it feels like a tiny futuristic city disguised as an airport. Quick stopover guide: Singapore, lightning layover edition 🚀🌺 First up is Changi Airport, which is basically sightseeing wrapped into a transit hub. Where else do you land and get greeted by the world’s tallest indoor waterfall (the Rain Vortex at Jewel)? My #1 tip: if you’re flying through Singapore, plan that layover. You’ll want at least a few hours to explore — think lush indoor gardens, designer shops, art installations, and local food stalls serving up hawker classics. The vibe inside is all clean lines and modern minimalism, accented by fountains and hanging flower displays. (Bring your camera, those floral shots practically take themselves!) The Jewel area is open 24/7, and airport terminals are connected by free Skytrain. Practical tricks: Most amenities and attractions (like the butterfly garden, cactus garden, and movie theater) require just your boarding pass and passport. Can’t miss the food courts in T3; best for cheap eats with legit Singapore flavors. If you have more than 5 hours, stash your bags in left luggage, grab a free city tour, or hit the shops for uniquely Singapore gifts. Transport hack: The MRT runs straight from the airport to central Singapore (about 30 minutes). Everything’s cashless with apps or credit card. Changi’s a place where a layover is honestly worth looking forward to, next time, I’m planning an extra hour just to breathe it all in. Then landing in Kannur 🌴🌊was a whole vibe of its own. Golden beaches, coconut trees swaying like they’re performing, and food that tastes like home with a twist of adventure.
