We constantly seek meaning, yet travel reveals that the journey itself is the meaning. When we let go of the destination and fully immerse ourselves in the present.

Buried in our posts day after day, our interactions mostly revolve around work. Although we see each other and work together daily, we rarely have the opportunity to let loose and chat freely, leaving a subtle professional barrier between us. This team-building trip took us away from crowded tourist spots, into the ancient village of Dongshi deep in Meishan. Slowing down amidst the ancient charm of the Tea Horse Road, we allowed each other to connect in the leisurely pace of rural life. The village, which flourished during the Ming Dynasty, was once a core trading post for Anhua black tea. Long cobblestone streets stretch along the stream, flanked by old tea shops, wooden tea warehouses, and the He Clan Ancestral Hall, traces of the caravans and tea merchants of yesteryear etched on the walls. Surrounded by mountains and with streams flowing through the streets, the village retains its pristine, rustic Meishan tea-growing atmosphere, free from dense shops and large tourist crowds. Upon arrival, everyone shed the constraints of their professional roles, leaving behind the seriousness and formality of work, and embarked on a relaxed and carefree team adventure. We strolled together along the ancient streets and streamside paths, exploring the remnants of old tea shops in groups. We took fun photos together, chatted about life outside of work, and even the usually introverted gradually warmed up to the atmosphere. The usually composed senior members revealed their playful and relaxed side. When walking along the undulating stone paths, those with better stamina automatically slowed down to wait for others, while attentive members watched for slippery sections and reminded each other. No one hurried alone; everyone looked out for one another. In our spare time, we stopped to listen to stories of the caravan trade and the black tea trade, letting our guard down in the gentle mountain breeze. The initial awkwardness dissipated with the breeze, and we saw each other's genuine warmth and humanity beyond work. We realized that a truly excellent team not only works collaboratively but also enjoys each other's company in our free time. This trip to the ancient village was like a gentle bridge, bringing our hearts closer. Moving forward, we will carry this harmonious understanding, working together towards a brighter future.
