International buffet with a stunning view of Bangkok's skyline

#BuffetReview Let's stop by for a dinner buffet at the Bangkok Sky Restaurant on the 78th floor of the Baiyoke Sky Hotel. The highlight here is the beautiful view of Bangkok's skyline from the floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The food lineup is as follows: [Hors d'oeuvres] Let's lightly whet your appetite with small bowls of appetizers for you to grab. There are many types to choose from. I liked the cheese on top of crackers and melon the most. It's simple but goes well together. [Steaks] They have Australian Beef, Australian Lamb, Salmon... to basic menus like pork, chicken, and dory fish steaks. They are freshly made when you order every dish. It's incredibly worth it. Let's try the following: ➡️ Salmon Steak - The salmon is good, slightly overcooked. The mashed potatoes that come with it are smooth and the flavor is well-rounded. ➡️ Lamb Chop - The lamb here is so good that you'll be surprised. The lamb chop is big and thickly cut with only a little bit of fat. When you taste it, there's no lamb smell at all. There is only the aroma of the hot grilled lamb. This time, I didn't ask for anything, but the staff made it as Well Done. It was cooked thoroughly, but not tough and hard to chew. If anyone wants Medium Rare / Medium Well, you can try ordering it. This dish was topped with black pepper sauce, which went very well together. It was the most impressive dish of this meal... The lamb was of this quality and taste. If it was served as A la carte in a fancy restaurant or a five-star hotel, just one dish would cost more than the buffet price here. But here, you can order as much as you want and refill as much as you want... Oh my god! As for the Cutting Station, there are both honey-roasted pork knuckles and Australian Sirloin Beef for you to slice and try. Whoever likes which, try it. [Pasta] It is also made hot when you order. You can choose from tomato sauce, meat sauce, cream sauce. For those who like spicy food like me, I tried the spicy stir-fried spaghetti with seafood. The taste was a bit salty. But eating it hot is also okay. For the pasta that is prepared on a warm tray for you to pick up is Beef Lasagna. Too bad I don't eat beef, so I missed out on trying it. [Soup & Salad] The day I went, I saw corn soup and lobster bisque, with garlic bread and other breads ready. For the salad, there is a Salad Bar corner for you to choose from. The vegetables and other ingredients are full. The Nabe soup is a bit sweet, but there are also condiments for those who like it spicy. [Seafood] For this period, there is a special menu of grilled river prawns that you can eat as much as you want. Dip it in the spicy sauce and order it continuously. [Various curries] It should be intended to represent Indian food because you can choose to pair it with roti, croissants or bread. Both green curry and massaman curry are beautifully rich and delicious. You can stand and look at them and swallow your mouth. It's a pity that they are both beef curries. As a person who doesn't eat beef, I can't prove if the taste is as good as it looks. [Other food and dishes] It should be rotated regularly. We came across “Empress Fried Rice” – Shrimp fried rice served in a small bowl with a lid on a warming tray to keep the rice soft and warm. The onsen egg on top makes it even more delicious. I tried it and it was delicious. [Dessert] ➡️ Crepe Suzette – Made fresh when ordered. I saw that they also make Flambe. When I tried it, the crepe was soft and smooth, but the orange sauce on top was a bit too sweet. The taste and texture are average. ➡️ Chocolate Fondue – Fruits are skewered and placed next to the chocolate fountain for you to dip and enjoy. ➡️ Thai desserts – I felt that this place is better at Thai desserts than Western desserts. The desserts with coconut milk boiled in pots are really good. The day I went, I found black bean sago and coconut milk bua loy with soft and chewy bua loy balls that were fragrant with pandan leaves and also had crispy rubies. The coconut milk flavor was rich and satisfying. They were equally delicious. [Drinks] There are both soft drinks from the vending machine and hot tea and coffee.
