Beihai Seaside Park is located on Chating Road in the north of the city, by the sea. It is a comprehensive park with subtropical scenery, mainly for viewing the sea, marine science education, and water activities. It is a national 4A-level scenic spot. The park is very green, with tall and lush trees everywhere, branches and leaves connected. Southern trees always grow particularly lush. Although it is winter, the whole park is still full of vitality. During the Spring Festival, large and small red lanterns are hung on the trees, making it even more festive and lively. The most popular attraction during the holidays is the "Underwater World." This aquarium is a large comprehensive aquarium integrating sightseeing, tourism, and science education for young people. It has a rich display of marine life and various interesting marine-themed landscapes. Built in 1978, it is a favorite of children. There are also regular performances every day, especially the human-shark dance, which is thrilling but not dangerous, making people nervous. It is a great place for curious children to learn about the ocean. The park is by the sea. Walking along the seaside, breathing the fresh air with the smell of the sea, and looking at the endless sea in the distance is very pleasant. If you have time, you can also visit the South Pearl Museum opposite the park. Further ahead is the Pudu Zhen Palace, which integrates Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism.
