The sound of camel bells echoes—The Silk Road Art Exhibition Although 2024 has just begun, it can already be predicted that this is one of the most worthwhile exhibitions of the year: 🌟 The curatorial team traveled 100,000 miles, negotiated with hundreds of cultural institutions, inspected 10,000 cultural relics, and ultimately selected more than 400 exhibits 🌟 The entire exhibition area spans three floors, reaching 6,000㎡, divided into 5 chapters, with the exhibits spanning thousands of years 🌟 It brings together the essence of seven major grottoes: Kizil Thousand Buddha Caves, Kumtura Thousand Buddha Caves, Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves, Mogao Grottoes, Yungang Grottoes, Longmen Grottoes, and Maijishan Grottoes Some particularly impressive exhibits: 1️⃣ Felt hat from Xiaohe Cemetery 👒 Dating back about 4,000 years, it is well-preserved and even looks trendy today 😎 2️⃣ Bao Guan Tathagata Buddha seated statue The exhibit comes from a temple near Longmen, weighing 7 tons, which is a direct reflection of the curatorial team's sincerity. The Buddha statue wears a jeweled crown, decorated with right-turning conch hair, the crown is embossed with lotus treasures, auspicious clouds, etc., the whole seated statue is tall and majestic, with a strong and vigorous posture, looking down from the third floor, it is the center of the view 3️⃣ Hu people eating cake on camel figurine 🐫 The sculptor really didn't treat us as outsiders, carving out such a lifelike scene for us to see 🍽️ 4️⃣ Grottoes I got goosebumps just seeing a small piece of work from the Mogao Grottoes (the girl accompanying me is a professional painter, who repeatedly said that the use of color 🎨 is exquisite), and when I got to the second floor and saw an entire grotto moved here, I was moved to tears without realizing it 💧 The entire exhibition is worth spending a whole day at, we stayed until it was almost closing time before leaving 🌆| Beijing Minsheng Modern Art Museum 📅| 2024.1.13-2024.7.13 (Closed on Mondays) ⏰| 10:00-18:00 (Entry stops at 17:30) 💡| Some precious exhibits can only be displayed for 3 months due to cultural relic protection needs, so make sure to visit early
