The stone carving gallery that collects the calligraphy authentic works of calligraphers from past dynasties

"Kuai Xue Tang" is located in the northern part of Beihai Park, and it is a three-entry quadrangle courtyard built according to the terrain that is low in the south and high in the north, following the mountain's contour. Inside the courtyard, the second entry includes Cheng Guan Tang and Yu Lan Xuan, which were built in the 11th year of the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1746), and were places where the emperors and empresses bathed, changed clothes, dined, and rested when they went to the Chan Fu Temple in Beihai to offer incense. In the 44th year of Qianlong (1779), Emperor Qianlong acquired the stone carving of Zhao Mengfu, a calligrapher from the Yuan Dynasty, who copied Wang Xizhi's "Kuai Xue Shi Qing Tie" from the Eastern Jin Dynasty. To preserve and collect it, he added the Phoebe nanmu hall and named it "Kuai Xue Tang". In 1987, the Kuai Xue Tang Calligraphy Stone Carving Museum was established.
