Michelin Awarded Beppu Cold Noodles 🍜

#newyearnewtrip Ikkyu No Namida is not your usual cold noodles shop in Beppu Japan. In fact, it is a michelin awarded cold noodles restaurant that is very popular in Beppu. Their cold noodles and sauce are not served separately, but served together in a huge bowl with egg, meat slices, and some kimchi at the side. A large bowl cost 1300Yen, which is very reasonably priced for a michelin restaurant. I found out that the chef makes his own noodles and I love the extremely nice, firm and springy texture. The soup has very good umami flavours though it's a clear soup. Order their toriten (chicken tempura), which is crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. You can see the chef's dedication in perfecting this cold noodles dish. The presentation is on point and it is super delicious for a simple dish. Try it!
