Stories of Sacrifice: Exploring Northeast China’s Martyrs’ Museum

#falladventures Set within a historic complex, this museum offers a sweeping look at the stories of martyrs, community heroes, and patriotic groups whose dedication shaped the Northeast’s modern identity. Spanning three levels, the exhibition halls feature restored interiors, immersive displays, and curated artefacts that commemorate generations of bravery and perseverance. Although the museum is very text-heavy, it is visitor-friendly — all Chinese captions come with clear English translations, making it easy to follow even if you don’t read Chinese. Located beside the in the eastern part of former living palace of the Palace of the Manchurian Regime, the exhibition hall covers a land area of 26,500m² and a floor area of 10,600m². The structure of the building consists of the underground floor and three floors above ground.
