Xiaozhong Changsha | A tranquil ancient Buddhist temple in the mountains

In the Gushan Forest Park in the northwest suburbs of Changsha, there lies a serene temple—Baoning Temple, which is said to have been built by the Tang Dynasty monk Sanzang. It was destroyed during times of turmoil, but now it has been rebuilt. The temple is surrounded by mountains on all sides, very quiet, with the breeze occasionally striking the temple's eaves' bells, which is particularly pleasing to the ear, making it a pure land for relaxing one's mind. Getting to Baoning Temple is also very convenient. It only takes about 20 minutes to drive from the downtown area of Changsha, and you can park directly at the mountain gate, and what's more, it's free.
