Beautiful Countryside—Guikeng Village, Chaozhou

Guikeng Village is located in Yixi Town, Xiangqiao District, Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province. It is the only village in the Chaoshan area that has been selected as one of China's beautiful leisure villages, boasting rich natural resources and historical culture. A stream runs through the village, lined with a large number of maple trees. During the autumn and winter seasons, when the maple leaves turn red, the scenery is exceptionally beautiful. Around New Year's Day, the maple trees in Fengdao Park, situated to the right of the village, gradually change color, presenting a dazzling and colorful display that attracts many visitors who come to enjoy the red leaves. Children play joyfully, while adults sip tea and listen to the water, thoroughly enjoying themselves. Crossing the Guikeng Bridge, one sees clean village paths, shaded by green trees and towering ancient woods.
