Hotel Environment: The interior decoration shows that it was quite luxurious, and it would have been very beautiful ten years ago, but now it feels quite outdated. It is indeed very spacious, and occasionally you can see young ladies taking photos inside. Stay Experience: Upon arrival, someone will help with the luggage. We arrived after 11 a.m., before the check-in time, so we left our luggage with the concierge and went out. We checked in after 7 p.m. The entrance leads to a cloakroom, followed by a large bathroom, and then there's a big bed, a sofa, and further inside, a room with a desk and a lounge chair. The bath products are from Aesop. We didn't see any tissues in the room and had to order our own takeout, which we picked up downstairs. Occasionally, you can hear the sound of the neighboring doorbell, but overall, it's quite quiet. Breakfast Experience: The breakfast buffet has very few options and isn't very tasty. However, I think the soy milk is quite authentic, not made from powder. The corn is dry and seems to have been sitting out for a while, lacking moisture. The fruits are fairly fresh. There aren't many choices for a la carte dishes, and some may be disappointing. However, the pancakes, French toast, and roasted beef are delicious (the quality of the roasted beef is inconsistent, some are very tough, some are still bloody). But what deserves praise is the great attitude of the waitress sisters! Conclusion: Overall, the experience is quite average. The value for money is not very high. A nearly 4000 RMB per night hotel doesn't feel different from a 2000 RMB one. I will try other hotels in the future, but the reputation of the Waldorf Astoria is there. If you haven't stayed before, it's still worth experiencing.
