Munui Cultural Heritage Complex

#cityplaybook I recently visited the Munui Cultural Heritage Complex in Cheongju, and it was a great surprise! I thought I'd seen most of Cheongju, but this place was new to me. It's now called the Munui Cultural Heritage Complex, and it also has the Daecheongho Museum inside. Easy to Visit Getting there was easy with a huge, free parking lot. Admission is cheap too: only 1,000 won for adults, and just 500 won if you live in Cheongju, Sejong, or Dongju. Your ticket also gets you into the Daecheongho Museum, which is a nice bonus. What to See The complex is quite big, and I spent about 1 hour and 20 minutes there, including the museum. I went on a sunny day, which was perfect for walking around. I started at the Relic Exhibition Hall, which had interesting old roof tiles and artifacts. I also saw a restored old house, which was cool, but I wish there were more things to see inside it. The Munsangwan guest house was also interesting, moved here from an area that's now underwater. I even saw students having lunch there. You can also see an old noble's house and a marketplace. They even offer hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) experiences sometimes, so you might want to check ahead if you're interested. Great Views I walked up to the observatory, which wasn't too hard to get to. From there, you get a nice view of the complex and Daecheong Lake. It was very refreshing! Overall, the Munui Cultural Heritage Complex is a wonderful place to visit if you're in Cheongju and want to see some history and enjoy nice views. #historicallandmarks #culture
