[Chiang Mai] If you're having trouble finding a souvenir, try organic tea, Monsoon Tea

I always have trouble finding souvenirs from overseas. It's hard to find good quality, tasty ones. This time, I decided to check out Monsoon Tea, an organic tea based in Chiang Mai, which I had heard was made using sustainable cultivation methods and was of good quality. It seems that you can buy it not only in Chiang Mai but also in Bangkok, but since I was staying on Nimmanhaemin Road, I headed to the store in the nearby shopping mall, One Nimman. There was one type of tea available for tasting at the entrance, but you could also order tea that caught my eye inside the store. There happened to be a shop assistant who spoke very fluent Japanese, and he was able to help me out. The menu was also written in Japanese, so I had no trouble buying. The price depends on what kind of tea leaves you use, whether they are bagged or canned. It seems that they use fair trade methods, so it doesn't seem like a good deal, but it seems to be harvested from tea trees that grow wild in the forests of northern Thailand, and I was told that they don't use any pesticides and pick each one by hand, so I was happy with the price. Inside the shop, there was a sign advertising a local tour organized by Monsoon Tea, which seemed like it would be possible to experience the cultivation and harvesting process, which was very interesting.
