#springitinerary We kicked off our Sunday bright and early at 6:30 AM from our hotel in Jakarta’s Old Town — all the online tips warned us about bad traffic, so we didn’t take any chances. By the time we arrived at Taman Safari Bogor, parked, and bought our tickets, it was around 8:20 AM. Heads up: your parking order decides how early you can enter the safari route, so earlier = better views = more animal fun! At the gate, they’ll ask if you're a local or foreigner — they don’t check passports, so... up to you. Foreigners pay 455K IDR (yes, you can pay by card). You’ll receive a wristband and a parking ticket — don’t lose it, you’ll need it every time you go in or out! This was honestly one of the most worthwhile entrance tickets I’ve paid for during my whole trip. We came prepared with a cabbage and some carrots from the supermarket (paid around 20 RMB which felt pricey). But we realized later that there are tons of roadside stalls selling fresh carrots near the entrance — about 50K IDR per bag (12 large carrots!). Some had mini carrots mixed in, so if you have time, hop out and pick your own. At 9:00 AM, we entered the park and started feeding the animals — they were super eager and came right up to the car! Compared to other wildlife parks I’ve visited (even Beijing’s), this one felt so much more engaging. It’s real zero-distance interaction, and the animals were lively and curious — especially loved the llamas, zebras, and deer! Pro tips: Take your time — don’t rush through the route! Pull over often and make sure to finish feeding those carrots. The park is divided into zones A, B, C, D, and P, each with different animals, parking areas, restaurants, and animal shows — check the schedules so you don’t miss your favorites (some shows only repeat every few hours). After the safari drive, you can watch animal performances, take photos with the animals (just 15 RMB!), and try out rides and playgrounds — all included in your ticket. #naturalwonders
