The salinity of the Dead Sea is 300 grams per liter, which is 8.6 times that of ordinary seawater. Due to the lack of oxygen in the water, no living organisms can survive in the lake and no grass grows on the shore, so it is called the "Dead Sea". The formation of the Dead Sea is due to the natural conditions of the continuous evaporation of river water flowing into the Dead Sea and the large amount of minerals sinking. The specific gravity of the lake water is 1.172-1.227, while the specific gravity of the human body is only 1.021-1.097, which is smaller than the specific gravity of the Dead Sea water. Therefore, people can lie on their backs on the surface of the Dead Sea like lying in a bed, and even those who cannot swim will not drown. The Dead Sea region has a long history and profound cultural heritage. In the late Paleolithic period, there were signs of ancient human activities around the Dead Sea area. From the Neolithic Age to the Bronze Age, ancient humans in the Dead Sea area made significant progress in architecture, art, and animal domestication, and an early settlement, Jericho, was born. In addition, the Dead Sea region is also rich in tourism resources, with natural scenery such as the Judean Desert and cultural attractions such as the ancient city of Petra. At the same time, the Dead Sea also has rich potassium salt resources, providing a material basis for the economic development of surrounding countries.
