Silver Bottle Mountain Forest Park in Dongguan is a mountain peak located in the south of Xiegang Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. With an altitude of 898 meters, it is the highest peak in Dongguan. The summit of this mountain resembles a silver bottle from afar, with a pointed peak like a bottle mouth, hence the name Silver Bottle Mountain. Mountaintop scenery: The mountaintop is a rocky platform, not very large, surrounded by steep cliffs. From the mountaintop, you can see Huizhou at the foot of the mountain, and the urban area of Dongguan in the distance. On one side of the mountaintop cliff descent route, you can see the inscription on the cliff: Dongguan's First Peak; on the other side of the cliff, you can see a partially suspended rock with a seated figure, which is the scenic spot of Guanyin Sitting on a Lotus. Suitable for taking photos and checking in. If you encounter cloudy weather on the mountaintop, you may experience the wonders of clouds rushing over the mountain and flying clouds soaring above. Clouds drifting from the direction of Huizhou are blocked by Silver Bottle Mountain, clinging to the cliff and flowing upstream, then drifting down from the mountain ridge, creating a spectacular scene. Descending the mountain via Red Lotus Pavilion, steps + slope, the road is relatively flat. There are two restrooms along the way. At the foot of the mountain, you can hear the sound of rushing water, and by the water ditch, you can see a waterfall formed by a rapid current. Many children play in the water and catch fish here. From the second parking lot, you can walk back to the parking building, or take a sightseeing bus to transfer to a minibus. Opening hours: The scenic area is open from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, and climbing the peak is prohibited after 3:30 pm. Reservation information: Silver Bottle Mountain is a free attraction and does not require advance reservation. During May Day and National Day holidays, there are a lot of tourists. Preparation suggestions: It is recommended to prepare 3 bottles of pure water per person, as well as some easily digestible food such as fruits and bread. There are private vendors selling water halfway up the mountain, with ordinary 650ml pure water costing around 10 yuan/bottle. Traffic guide: Take a high-speed train to Silver Bottle Station, and there is a bus to the park entrance. Self-driving navigation to Silver Bottle Mountain Forest Park, Xiegang Scenic Area. If you are driving, you may be able to go directly to the first parking lot before 7 am. After 7 am, the number of vehicles increases, so it is recommended to park in the parking lot of the transfer building at the entrance of the scenic area. Scenic area transportation: Purchase a bus ticket to the first parking lot. Bus ticket prices are 8 yuan/person for adults and 5 yuan/person for children. From the first parking lot, you can walk up or take an electric sightseeing car. Electric sightseeing car: 10 yuan/person for adults, 5 yuan/person for children. Those with good physical strength can walk up, about 1.8 kilometers. If you want to go up the mountain from the Zhongshui Bridge Road, you need to tell the driver in advance and stop at the bridgehead. It is recommended to go up the mountain from the Zhongshui Bridge Road and go down from the Red Lotus Pavilion route, so as not to retrace your steps and see different scenery. Uphill route: It is recommended to choose the Zhongshui Bridge direction, passing through Yangmei Pavilion, Observation Corridor and Golden Toad Spitting Dan, directly to the main peak. Note that this route is relatively steep, and the observation corridor is all steps before, with almost no flat stone slabs, testing physical strength. There are no restrooms along the way, so it is recommended to prepare before climbing the mountain. Uphill time is about 1.5H-3H. Downhill route: Via Cloud Ladder, Boundary Stone, Red Lotus Pavilion, Qingfeng Pavilion and Dianchun Bridge downhill. The downhill route has a gentler slope, with several flat sections for rest and adjustment. There is a restroom at each of Boundary Stone and Red Lotus Pavilion. Downhill time is about 2H. Notes: Climbing the mountain requires a lot of physical exertion, so take breaks as needed. Silver Bottle Mountain has poor network signal.
