Beijing Botanical Garden | A Wonderful Journey through the Plant Kingdom

Beijing Botanical Garden is located in the western suburbs of Beijing, with a total planned area of nearly 600 hectares. It is a large comprehensive botanical garden integrating plant research, science popularization, and tourism. It has collected more than 15,000 species of plants. Relying on the resources of the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Beijing Botanical Garden, a new development pattern has been constructed with unified planning, construction, listing, and standards for both the southern and northern garden areas. 1️⃣ Exhibition Greenhouse: The exhibition greenhouse covers a construction area of 9,800 square meters and an exhibition area of 500 square meters, occupying 5.5 hectares. The greenhouse is designed with the theme 'Green Leaves Remembering Roots' and is divided into four exhibition areas: tropical rainforest, desert plants, seasonal gardens, and specialized plant exhibition rooms. It displays more than 31,000 plants of 3,100 species, including three of the world's flagship greenhouse species: the titan arum, the thousand-year orchid, and the sea coconut. 2️⃣ Exhibition Greenhouse (South Garden): The South Garden exhibition greenhouse is the oldest plant exhibition greenhouse in Beijing, comprising nine exhibition rooms including the seasonal flower hall, palm room, shade plant room, gymnosperm room, carnivorous plant room, fruit tree room, succulent plant room, aquatic plant room, and bodhi room. It collects and displays over 2,000 species (including cultivated varieties) of tropical and subtropical plants. 3️⃣ Outdoor Garden Areas: The outdoor garden areas of the National Botanical Garden are equally splendid, featuring the main greenhouse complex and 38 specialized garden areas such as the Magnolia Garden, Palm Garden, and Ginger Garden. The park also includes the Longdong Qi Forest scenic area and the Rare Plant Conservation Center, as well as cultural attractions like Guangzhou's First Village.
