A historic building that is constantly being revitalized

Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Alicante (Region) During our visit to the city we were only able to see this palace from the outside, which has a rich history due to its different owners and uses. In 1970, the town hall was expropriated and the building was restored. This is his story: constantly revitalizing buildings. It was built in the 15th century by the first lord of the city as his habitual residence. It is possible that Almohad walls from as far back as the twelfth or thirteenth century lie in its foundations. After the Civil War, it became a concentration camp and prison for Republicans.
