Palace of Lingnan Folk Art: Foshan Ancestral Temple

☘️The Ancestral Temple is located in Chancheng District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. It is a temple dedicated to the Northern Emperor Zhenwu, built in the Yuanfeng period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1078) and rebuilt in the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty (1372). It is known as one of the three treasures of ancient Lingnan architecture, along with the Longmu Temple in Zhaoqing and the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall in Guangzhou. 🌾The temple is laid out with a bright front and a dark back, with a civil left and a military right.
