Fukuoka Giant Rock Park, despite its name, is not just a park but a place for outdoor hiking and exploring nature. Unlike other parks where you can take a leisurely stroll, Giant Rock Park is full of natural challenges, making it an ideal spot for hiking enthusiasts. The park is not free; the entrance fee is 300 yen, which is quite affordable. The park includes Shimoda Mountain and Kanashiki Castle Mountain, which are 3.3 kilometers apart with an elevation difference of 400 meters. The entire journey takes about three hours. As its name suggests, Giant Rock Park is characterized by huge rocks scattered in the mountains surrounded by nature. There are seventeen groups of giant rocks on the mountain, each with different meanings, such as Frog Rock, Eboshi Rock, and Kamaiwa Rock, which are spectacular and impressive. The challenge of the Giant Rock Trail has a time limit; entry is prohibited after 4 PM for the safety of visitors.
