Gifu Park is greeted by a main gate with a Sengoku-era image and a statue of Oda Nobunaga in his youth. It seems that the park is being redeveloped as a historical park where you can hear the heartbeat of Nobunaga. The Gifu Park General Information Center is in the style of a samurai residence. The park also has a rock garden made from stones from the Nagara River basin, so you can enjoy a Japanese garden. There is also a Nobunaga Residence Excavation Information Center, so this is a place I would recommend to fans of Oda Nobunaga and history buffs. An event called the Gifu Castle Sengoku Experience was held in the park, and it was impressive to see everyone shooting bows in earnest! Gifu Park is also the departure and arrival point for the Kinkazan Ropeway, so if you're interested, be sure to check it out! Public transportation is only accessible by bus, but there are many buses heading to Gifu Park from Meitetsu Gifu Station and JR Gifu Station.
