The most famous feature of the town is the octagonal Courthouse Square in the town center. With the Huron County Courthouse at its center, the streets are laid out in a standard grid pattern, and the radiating street layout is distinctive. Holiday inns, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants with local flavors, banking centers, police stations... are scattered around the square.
