Goderich Lighthouse: The oldest lighthouse in Lake Huron, from where you can gaze upon the vast expanse of the lake

I am a sea-viewing and wave-listening tour+ global traveler, please follow me! (Published the 1723rd travel photography article in 57 countries/regions across 5 continents) The red-topped Goderich Lighthouse is one of the ancient attractions in Huron County. It stands on the edge of the cliff in Lighthouse Park, and is one of the earliest lighthouses on the Canadian side of Lake Huron. From here, you can overlook the vast Lake Huron, the Sifto Salt Plant by the lake, the yacht club, and the Goderich deepwater dock, with the magnificent scenery clearly presented before your eyes. Nearby stands the 1913 Great Lakes Storm memorial, commemorating the tragic event that destroyed 19 ships and took 244 lives. The town of Goderich was originally settled by Scottish immigrants, hence the town has a strong Scottish flavor. It is said that every summer, a bagpipe band dressed in Scottish kilts performs in Lighthouse Park. Unfortunately, we arrived a bit early and missed witnessing this scene.
