#Ho-kangs "My mother said she doesn't like Jajangmyeon~~~!" I went on a ho-kangs with my mother in Gwangju. It would be nice for her to go home and make home-cooked meals for her son, but if she lets go of the housework for a day and eats food prepared by others, her son will feel less guilty. The reception is located on the 1st floor of the hotel and it takes some time to check in. Parking is by machine and takes about 5-10 minutes to get out. There are two reserved residence suites on each floor. I was assigned to the 13th floor. I checked in around 5 PM, but they said the upper floors were closed. It is the largest and newest hotel in the Gwangju area with a total of 32 floors, and it was full of ho-kangs. The suites are separated into two bedrooms, so my mother and I have our own rooms, which is convenient. Each room has a closet, and there is a large pantry hidden in the living room. It is a residence, so it is equipped with an induction stove, drum washing machine, sink, and large refrigerator. There is no bathtub in the bathroom, but the shower room is separate, and the amenities are Penhaligon's, a famous perfume of the British royal family (which is not available even in 5-star hotels in Seoul). ㄷㄷㄷ The shoe rack is large enough to fit more than 20 colors, and you can enjoy Dolce Gusto capsules on a long table and chairs in the shape of a bar top. There is also a sofa and table in the living room. There is a balcony, so you can see the wide view of the downtown area of the business district and Mt. Mudeung. It seemed like it was designed to accommodate long-term stays or a month-long stay. Breakfast is available at the restaurant on the 3rd floor. It is buffet-style. Personally, I didn't think it was that delicious, but it was nice that my mother brought it and ate it like a child. I promised to take her to a better place later. Except for the long wait time at check-in, the uncomfortable elevator system, and the shabby sofa and bed, etc., it was great value for money. It feels a bit like a (Chinese) nouveau riche hotel.
