Anhui Museum

The Anhui Museum, with its new venue located at No. 87 Huaining Road in Hefei City, is the only provincial comprehensive museum in Anhui Province that integrates nature, history, and social education. It covers an area of 62,000 square meters, with an exhibition hall area of 16,000 square meters, six floors above ground, and a partial basement level, with a building height of 37.7 meters. There are 15 exhibition halls and more than 218,000 pieces in the museum's collection. The architectural style is vicissitudinous and substantial, reflecting the Huizhou architectural style of 'four waters returning to the hall, five directions connected'. The Anhui Museum is a symbolic cultural facility in Anhui. As the only provincial museum (Anhui Provincial Museum) inspected by Chairman Mao, the new venue of the 'Anhui Museum' uses Mao-style characters for its name. The exhibition building of the Anhui Museum is built in the style of Suzhou architecture, with the entire museum area layout centered around the building in a 'Chinese character zhong' shape.
