The First Peak of Mount Heng: Huiyan Peak.

Mount Heng, the most beautiful of the Five Great Mountains, has 72 peaks stretching over 800 miles. Huiyan Peak is the first of these peaks, and is known as the "First Peak of Mount Heng." It is home to two of the Eight Views of Hunan: "Wild Geese Descend on the Sandbank" and "Mist and Rain on Wild Goose Peak." Huiyan Peak is named for the saying "Wild geese fly south, and rest their wings here." Legend has it that wild geese fly south, but stop here and go no further. Today, you can look out from the peak and see the lush green mountains, the Xiang River like a ribbon, and Mount Heng like a screen. You can still see the beautiful scenery of the past: ten miles of sand, hundreds of acres of reeds, thousands of waves in the sunset, and tens of thousands of wild geese. Huiyan Peak is only 96.8 meters above sea level, but it has a rich cultural heritage. It is a place of wild goose culture, Wang Fuzhi culture, famous mountain culture, longevity culture, and anti-Japanese war culture. It is the birthplace of Wang Fuzhi, a gathering place of Hunan culture, and a symbol of wild goose culture. Since the Sui and Tang dynasties, thousands of poems have been written about this place, such as Du Fu's "Wild Geese of Hengyang," Wang Bo's "The wild geese are startled by the cold, and their cries are cut off at the river of Hengyang," and Fan Zhongyan's "The wild geese of Hengyang leave without a trace." The newly renovated Huiyan Peak (First Peak of Mount Heng) Tourist Area covers a total area of about 10 hectares, and combines cultural relics, famous buildings, natural scenery, cultural and creative districts, urban memories, and children's playgrounds. It has been officially approved as a national 4A-level scenic spot. The scenic area includes the Wild Goose City Sculpture, Huiyan Pavilion, Wild Goose Wall, Wild Goose Peak Temple, Mist and Rain Pond, Wang Fuzhi Birthplace Memorial Hall, Hengyang Anti-Japanese War Cliff Site, Wugui Ridge, Wild Goose Culture Experience Hall, Eight Views of Hunan Cultural and Creative Center, Heart Society, Mount Heng 72 Peaks Poetry Wall, Wild Goose Cultural and Creative Park, and Mount Heng 72 Peaks Scroll.
