Hiraizumi, Iwate Prefecture: A World Heritage Site

I went to visit Chusonji Temple in Iwate Prefecture, as it was celebrating its 900th anniversary. I arrived at 8:30 in the morning, but there were already several cars and people there. By 11:00 on my way back, the parking lot was full and there was a line of people waiting. I recommend going early. This was my first time seeing Chusonji Temple, and it really brought home to me the fact that it was built with a lot of history in mind, and I felt like my soul was cleansed. There is also lots of nature, and you can feel the negative ions.
