Ho Chi Minh City Book Street

#hochiminhcity I wish every city had a book street - we visited twice, once during the week and once on the weekend. During the week it was a beautiful, quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. A place to sit and contemplate amongst the trees and books. On the weekend it was full of so many families and kids - it was really joyful! I’m not normally a big fan of noise and crowds of children, but seeing so many kids excited by books was hard not to be happy about. There are 2 cafes on book street, both are open air and cooled by fans. So if you’re struggling with the heat there is somewhere to cool down and buy a cold drink, but no air-conditioning.
