Dazhao Temple · The brilliance on the Great Gobi

Dazhao Temple is the largest temple in Hohhot. Dazhao, called 'Yike Zhao' means 'big temple', where 'Zhao' is Tibetan for 'temple', is a Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism, built in 1580, mainly to promote the Yellow Religion, and the earliest temple built in Hohhot. The temple is famous for its silver Buddha, murals, and dragon carvings. Whether it's architecture, murals, or Buddha statues, they are all worth savoring. Outside Dazhao Temple, the old street is lined with shops, and the night view is very charming, attracting many travel photographers. In the cool autumn night, strolling in it has a unique charm.
