[A cute port town like a postcard] Honfleur🇫🇷France

Honfleur is a cute port town in Normandy. This beautiful town has attracted many artists. Walking around the town, you feel like you've returned to the Middle Ages, with its half-timbered houses typical of Normandy and buildings with facades covered in deep blue flagstones. I was particularly impressed by Saint Catherine Church (4th photo). It is the largest wooden church in France. It was actually destroyed by the British army during the Hundred Years' War. The church was made of stone at that time. After that, due to financial issues, they were unable to build it with stone, and when they thought about how to rebuild the church, they thought that there were many forests around and there was plenty of wood! When they went inside, they felt a sense of relief that only wood can give. Honfleur is a very rustic town. I want to go back again. #OverseasTravelRecord #France
