Yuk Kwai Shan is located on Ap Lei Chau on Hong Kong Island. To the south of Yuk Kwai Shan is Ap Lei Chau, which is connected to the island by a sandbar. The main trail of Yuk Kwai Shan starts from Lei Tung Village and leads to the top of the mountain, then extends through the sandbar to the lighthouse at the southern end of Ap Lei Pai.
