GGuest User: WE thought the hotel was beautifully appointed with stunning gardens and were very happy with the lodge facilities. It would have been helpful to have had a bit more information about them before we arrived. It was very comfortably furnished and spacious, and the hotel had a very warm,friendly atmosphere. The Reception was chaotic, supposedly because there was a big wedding reception taking place. We were sent to the wrong place before being told where the Lodge was situated and we weren't told of the necessity to book beforehand for dinner so it was fully booked by 6pm. We managed to get something in the bar, where the bar tender was very helpful.. When we came to book out it took ages because both Reception staff were dealing with one very fussy couple, and another guest and I were kept waiting for an unneccessarily lengthy period of time. Breakfast was excellent and the service was good.
