Gazing at Sanxingdui Exhibition | Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Palace Museum announced an exciting special exhibition titled "Gazing at Sanxingdui - New Discoveries in Sichuan Archaeology" to be held on the eve of National Day. This exhibition, organized by the Hong Kong Palace Museum, the Sanxingdui Museum in Guanghan, Sichuan, and the Jinsha Site Museum in Chengdu, will run from Sep 27, 2023, through Jan 8, 2024. "Gazing at Sanxingdui" focuses on new archaeological discoveries in Sichuan, with a special emphasis on the Sanxingdui site. It will showcase 120 precious artifacts, including bronzes, jades, gold items, and ceramics dating back 2,600 to 4,500 years. Nearly half of the exhibits are important artifacts excavated between 2020 and 2022, with some being displayed outside of Sichuan for the first time.
